Amazing visual and audio. The game feels very polished. I like that the cards upgrade value is RNG by the dice, but it would be nice if the dice show the face value instead of empty dice.
Hello, please play my game and rate as you like.
Very well-polished! It was interesting that the upgrades were carried out ramdomly by dice and cards. I liked the concept of dice and cards fighting each other too ;)
I like the concept and the animations are pretty nice and cute too :D
So cute! I do love myself a top down shooter rogue like! Getting a random roll on how powerful your upgrades/curses felt was a pretty unique feel. I do felt like I got a 0 way to frequently that it ended up not making a difference.
All the monsters were so cute and they felt satisfying to shoot and doge!
Super Polished. Id like to add one request regarding accessibility:
Defend us from carpal tunnel syndrom and allow to fire on cooldown while the mouse key is pressed.
This game is the best game of the jam i tried so far, this is literally amazing. it feels like a professionally made game (especially for super smooth animations), it almost looks like a demo of something you culd buy on steam! I really, really enjoyed it.
also, if you have spare time, i'd really appreciate to get some feedback on my game too
I really enjoyed this game! The main character was very cute, and the enemy designs were very clean and easy to read. The card enemy's throwing animations was very good. I only wish that the vendor would allow you to read what the item did before you bought an item, and I wish that health would be given a little more freely. Overall a very polished game! 5 stars all around!
Good art, great concept, i think that hitting an enemy should give you more feedback cause rn when i hit one i only really knows it when he dies, very good and enjoyable game tho, good job
Had a great time with this one - loving the Enter the Gungeon vibes!
The main gameplay loop was strong, with the two enemy types contrasting well and forcing quick reactions to avoid getting cornered. The different upgrades for both the player and the enemies were well thought out, and it worked really well thematically to not know how it'd play out as I approached each door.
The art style is excellent, I loved the design of the enemies especially and how every detail of the level felt nicely tied into the overall theme.
A really solid foundation, very gungeon-esque. Sadly 9/10 times the stat changes between rooms would be enemy speed changes, and again in 9/10 of those times it would roll 0 so nothing would change. Very weird, but maybe I was just getting uber unlucky?
If you guys continued this post-jam (which I strongly suggest, I think it could be great) then maybe consider guaranteeing both an enemy and a player power-up between rooms? And eliminate or at least reduce the chance of it being a 0?
Overall very good work!
The art style of this game is absolutely amazing! Is the level generation random? Either way, great game!
Glad you enjoyed it! We wanted to add random level generation, but our time restraints wouldn't allow it, so instead it's a pre made level.
very pretty game and nice animations! very fun to play. it would be cool if you could see the dice options. btw is the dice animation a sprite sheet? awesome work!
Hi! The dice was a sprite sheet, animated by thiccsnail who did all the artwork. You can check him out here https://twitter.com/Thicccsnail. Glad you enjoyed the game!
Unfortunately, the game was already over by the time it got very interesting. I also missed feedback when I hit enemies. At first I thought I was doing no damage. The animation duration of the cards and dice was also too long for me. Otherwise I think you have a very solid and creative game here. I really enjoyed the time. I love the aesthetics and theme of the game. I especially like the mechanic of choosing a card, which makes every room different. Overall, this is a very good game. Great job.
Such a creative game, and a great take on the theme! The artwork is excellent, and I think the gameplay is pretty well balanced where it kept me on my toes. I'd say that I think you could do with more secret shop stops along the way, but considering the layout, I might just have lucked into picking all the wrong pathways to find them.
Either way, I had a blast, nice job!
Really cool game. Love the take on randomness with some affects being beneficial and some increasing difficulty. Being able to hold down the shoot button would be a nice if you plan to expand upon this concept. :)
Awesome art design and highly polished game, also I love`d Enter the Dungeon style, nice work!
Reallly good art, and it's ambitious with all its mechanics like the shop
It's crazy to see this level of polish in a 48 hours jam. Art is fantastic, and everything feels very smooth.
The idea of increasing difficulty (most of the time) whenever you go to a new room is interesting and can change the way player traverses the map. I also like the powerups that affect dice rolls in theory but without description in the magazine can't quite wrap my head around them :/
Hi! Sadly we couldn't add descriptions in the shop, but they do appear when hovering over them in front of a door. Glad you enjoyed the game!
My dude this game is amazing. I can't imagine so much was done in 48 hours. Great job. Highest quality game I've seen so far. I haven't gotten too far yet, I might play some more of this later. However, some things I notice is that you move kind of slow and the card animation is slow. Speeding the game up a bit would make it more engaging. Also a chip enemy got stuck outside of a wall and I wasn't able to leave due to him being alive lol.
Besides that, awesome work.
