Your player is a dice who rolls in the air to attack. Also, you take a risk with your bet points for better stats in a proverbial roll of the die.

I really enjoyed this! There was a lot to roam around to and it was nice having so much room to travel through and fight enemies. I also really enjoyed the music! Good job!
I'm glad that you enjoyed playing our game!
Really loved the aesthetics and music you made, it all goes really well together. The gameplay was super fun too, the combat could've felt a bit smoother but I loved the idea. Great job!
I'm so glad that you liked the game!
Thank you!
Awesome concept and mechanics! The game feels fun to play. Nice job!
I'm so glad that you liked it! Good luck on your own game!
I really appreciate when I see creative mechanics, specially in this jam. The theme has led to very similar games, so when you rate some you have to be very picky. Yours has an unique touch to it, the “betting” system, is very unique and interesting, I also love platformers and you managed to fit the theme in a platformer. I think the betting mechanic needs some polishing:
Overall, congrats for being so creative and making such a fun to play little game!
I am so glad that you liked the game and felt that it was creative. I also will agree with your remarks about the betting system. If I were to redo it, I might make each dice face give you a upgrade and a downgrade (e.g. rolling a 1 decreases your speed but increases your strength). But then again, that is apart of the risk factor, and getting unlucky can be punishing, but it could probably be a little less so. Thank you so much for your comment!
Thank you so much for the feedback! It really means a lot. I definitely agree with what you and IotaSlug said.
Nice visuals and music! Good use of the theme, unfortunately I didn't seem to be able to raise or lower the bet amount. Either that or I was doing something wrong. In any case, well done!
If you have time please check out and rate my game as well!
You should be able to initiate the bet with left shift and raise and lower it with W and S respectively. Glad you liked it!
I tried again, I am only able to do so the first time then unable to do it again.
The ability to change your stats with a "bet" is indicated by how many "bet points" you have in the top left. What I'm guessing is that you can make the first bet, but then not the second because you run out of points. You can gain more points by killing enemies. Still, it lets me press Shift and then Enter and makes me jump and does a bet with 0 points. In short, Shift is to start a bet, Backspace is to cancel, W is to raise points to bet (max indicated in the top left by 'Bet Points: #'), S is to lower, and Enter is to confirm.
Jumping on the enemies felt really good. I liked the guitar music in the background somehow it didn't feel out of place for a game like this. this is a fun game overall!
Thank you!
Cool game! I like the betting part to try and get more power. Nice music and art too.
Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it.
Very fun ! I love the chess pieces and their powers , as a chess enthusiast myself. Only real constructive criticism I have is that the background is more chess themed than dice themed , and a bit repetitive ? Otherwise great idea and execution :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it! We thought the die was invading the chess castle where the queen is. That's why we made the floor more chess-themed. We definitely could have made more varied tiles with more time.
this is a really creative idea. love the mechanics and the art.
I'm so glad that you liked playing our game! Good luck with your own game!
Thank you!
Very cool and creative game, has nice mechanics. I especially like how the chess pieces have attack patterns similar to what they are like in actual chess! Very nicely done, good job!
Thank you very much! It was really fun to brainstorm those attacks.
Pretty cool, I liked that every enemy was a chess piece and the graphics were pretty nice!
Thank you very much! IotaSlug did a great job with the concept and implementation, and pixel art was really fun to try out.
Glad you liked it!
Enjoyed it. Nice effort.
Thank you for playing!

The platformer game is really cool and the art are amazing. But like the theme wasn't that clear for me when I play the game. The SFX are great and I really like chess
Thank you so much for the comment! I put the story in the description, but I wish I would but something in the actual game that made it more clear. I'm glad you enjoyed playing it!
Thank you for the feedback and for playing!
This game is a game that I have really enjoyed playing. I really like the concept and how it was portrayed through art and music. I really liked it :)
BEST OF LUCK :)
P.S. Do check out our game!
Thank you and good luck to you too!
This game was very fun! It's unique concept made it interesting to see what was next!
Thank you!
I am so glad that you liked it! I thought the idea of trying to defeat chess pieces was pretty nifty.
56.98s. Probably the perfect run, lol.
I like the CG after the boss fight. With my luck my best BET was to head straight into battle without even bother rolling.
Interesting strategy! We wanted to make the roll mechanic fun to use while not requiring you to use it at the same time. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Enjoyable game! I like the concept, it'd be cool to see what it'd become if it was a bit longer :)
Thank you! We planned on adding more enemies like a Knight or a Bishop, but ended up focusing on polish instead. Some of the idea was to make it short initially by allowing a path straight to the boss, while also including other paths to prolong the game if desired.
