This game felt really fantastic to play, and i beat the whole thing. Here is my full review.
Right out of the gate, this game is JUICEY, it feels good to move the die and solve the puzzles. The reason it feels so good is because of the controls are super responsive and the sound for movement is oh so satisfying. I also think the transitions between levels make the game feel even better and give it a very professional feel. The drum motifs used during the victory portion of the game were also really satisfying, the person who worked on the sounds/music did a really great job. The visual style while simple was super pleasing and readable. So in terms of presentation, you(meaning the team) nailed it!

Now for gameplay, as I have specified above the game feels really good, and the gameplay only further improves on it through very intelligent design decisions, a good difficulty curve, and some genuinely fun puzzles. Lets start with my favorite part, the colored sides of the die (this would ordinarily be talked about in presentation, but the way you guys did it made it warrant a spot in the gameplay side of the review). Rather than use additional UI elements, you gave each side of the die a color and mirrored it on the opposite side, this was really great because I was never wondering what would come next and it gave me sneaky clues as to whether or not I was moving around the level the right way. In fact, it was so sneaky it actually felt natural. (THIS IS GOOOOOD GAME DESIGN, and the entire team deserves praise.) Now for the difficulty curve, for the most part the game had a very nice steady increase in difficulty, that was pared well with the introduction of trap tiles etc. The levels were fun like honestly I wanted to keep playing even after the end. I think my only feedback is some of the mid game puzzles felt a bit to easy, but that could also just be that I was having to much fun.

All in all, I think the entire team did a really great job and made one of my favorite puzzle games of the entire jam. Thank you for sharing.

Awesome stuff! Really love the sound design and how satisfying it makes completing the puzzles. Great job!

Nice game. Liked the screen shake. Please check out my game.

Good!  Of the games that used this sort of mechanic, this felt the most like I could actually figure out what to do without just rolling around until something works.  Only issues I had were maybe there are a few too many levels at the beginning where you don't have to worry about the numbers on the dice, and it took maybe a bit too long to figure out how the breakable floors worked (but I did figure it out; maybe giving them more saturated colors would have helped).

Great work! I am amazed at how many creative levels you were able to fit into a 3x3 grid! I liked the choice of using only 3 values on the D6 as well as the indicator of which side is which, kept it easy to have a mental image of how moving would effect the rotation of the faces.

Great work and clean execution! I love how you use colors on a 2D dice to inform the player about the dice's faces. I also like sfx and animation between levels.

Great game, simple, it teaches everything you need to know by just playing. Great entry!

This game is pretty cool. it's short and sweet and wastes no time before letting you play. overall awesome entry

I thought this was a nice quick puzzle game.  A few more levels would have hit the spot for me but otherwise great job!

cool idea, well executed too! I thought the 3x3 level size was limiting at first but the levels got suitably tough toward the end. Some background music would have gone a long way. Other than that, a fun lil game, good work!

Cool game! Interesting puzzle with pixel design, which I don't like too much, but here it fits very well

:)

Really good puzzler! FIrst rooms are easy, and help you understand game machanics, but last rooms are tricky and require complex manuvering to make everything lighted. Wish there were more levels!

Also, how did you make rolling effect? Just wondering

Developer

Thanks for the feedback <3 also,

The player die consists of a spritesheet of 3 different colored face sprites. This sheet has 4 frames of animation, with the 2 keyframes at the start and end representing an upwards facing surface and a sideways facing surface. Using code, three different sprites from this sheet are overlayed to form the die. Upon rolling, faces which change on the die are interpolated along the animation.

One more question: did you make cube bigger, while it rolled, or did you keep it the same size? In other words, was it scaled during animation, or did it just remained same?

Developer

No scaling is applied to the sprites :) the animtion's 2 tween frames account for the visual change in size of the die faces.

Great game! fun puzzles, nice pixel art, great sound! Thanks for the effort! I really like the addition of the colored-crack/hole tiles, the difficulty ramps up nicely!

I don't know what it is about this games sound, but it's really pleasing to the ear!

I've seen quite a few games where you have to roll a dice along a grid and land on a specific number like this, but this one is easily my favourite. The use of colour coding and the ability to see which side is where on the dice at just a glance is SO intuitive! Plus the puzzle design was polished and the difficulty curve was consistent and engaging. Great work!

First of, The moving sound with each directions made me stop playing and just jam making my own music. Haha. I like it! Second thing, the artwork. I love it! The pixelart is really nicely done. And Last thing: Levels, Simple but interesting! Mechanics are also good. Overall, Great game!

Have a little bug when you press more than one key at same time!! (that I used for complete the last level 😆😆)

Very nice! I like how you simplified the die and used colors to indicate the sides. Great puzzle designs too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I like puzzles and this is a good game with nice puzzle-level design! First levels are great basic implicit tutorials, which I consider a good game-design.

Nice pixelart and excelent presentation within the art style! I didn't finish all the levels, but the ones I played were nice and started becoming challenging!

Although it started off as quite easy, the puzzles quickly got quite challenging! I liked the art style and the sfx was alright.

Nice art style and great ideia of gameplay, but sound effects are not equalized and sometime go beyond de peak volume.
