I loved the game concept! The dialogues and puzzles were really interesting, cool stuff! The variety in music was also cool (even if it was pre-existing). It would be cool to see this kind of game extended into a full game.
This is probably the most creative and engaging use of the theme I've seen. The main puzzle is also very clever although I almost stopped playing when I got the keyboard since I though that was the end until I saw the comments saying there was a real ending after that. Very cool!
Just finished the game! I love the idea of slowly tweaking the seed until you get the universe you want. Figuring out how to find the terminal at the end was the hardest part for me, but I eventually figured it out through luck. Super creative concept!
That was neat. I’m finally clear-headed enough to efficiently solve relatively simple puzzles this evening it seems – or maybe I just lacked the patience before to go one by one.
That did gave me the opportunity to see that the beginning sequence is also randomized, so you can luck out and get most of the items/clues in the first few rooms – but that does fit the theme.
(I also noticed that you could get a floating item with certain item/box placements. Though maybe that only seems strange to me because I’m from a universe where floating pickle jars aren’t a thing.)
Very clever concept with a unique take on puzzlesolving! And gosh jolly if I don't love the character designs!
Great work! :D
This is a really cool idea and plays really well but I would have liked a little more direction after unlocking manually typing in seeds. Maybe I'm just dumb though haha. Great work!
Yeah, I could have been clearer on that. Each digit is a different variable (wall color, music track, pickle affinity, etc.). So I envisioned it as players changing digits one at a time to figure out what each number does, and then building the room they need to solve the puzzle.
But also it's possible to just keep going at random and solve the other puzzles without figuring out the numbers (It just might take longer)
A really cool take on the theme, it's so cool being given control of the seed + trying to reverse engineer it. I wish there were some more clues to finding the secret room, I ended up giving up after only partially deciphering what all the numbers did. There's a surprising level of variety in the room themes which I enjoyed, theme 4 was definitely my favourite. Overall a superb entry, well done!
I loved the idea and wordbuilding, entering world 666666666 give hellish vibes because it is red haha, great game, interesting concept would love to see more also it has pickles so thats amazing!
Nice concept, and solid execution. I like the random generated rooms, and I really liked being able to change the seed manually to generate my own room. Good job!
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
I REALLY LOVED THIS!!!
GOSH THIS WAS AMAZING!!!
I have kept the game in my favourites folder!
Cool game! honestly felt a little hard to get to the end, but probably that's just me. Anyway it was worth it, loved it! keep it up man!
Also, if you have time, i'd really love to get some feedback on my game too
I never figured out how to reverse engineer that generation, but I did manage to get to the end with a few random rooms. I did like the little puzzle elements in here.
My only small complaints are that you can't set the values with the keyboard (even after unlocking the terminal) and that the interaction hitbox for the scientist seems to overlap with the button, so i often talked to them instead of pressing the button.
Thanks, it's reassuring to hear that at least one person saw the end.
To clarify, do you just mean not being able to type the numbers directly, or was there a problem changing the numbers at all (with SPACE)? If the former, yeah, the interface for that definitely could be improved, but I hope it at least worked!
I like the idea but I never got to the secret room.
This is a really intersting idea! I loved seeing the different universes, but it did get boring pretty fast, other than that the characters and dialoge were great!
Love how polished it feels for a 48 hour jam entry, and the idea of the playing space being the same room but modified is great!
