+1 for using FMOD!

Probably the best looking of all the games I played that used this mechanic. Good stuff, keep up the quality work!

Submitted(+1)

This game is really fun, and honestly it has a lot of potential.

I got stuck on the 6th level also

Submitted(+1)

Very nice puzzle game indeed! The mechanics are great! Good Job!

The presentation of everything in this game is incredible, I love everything about the aesthetic. Unfortunately I'm too dumb to get very far.

Developer (1 edit)

Not gonna lie the way I read that last sentence made me laugh out loud lmaoo. Thanks for playing! If you want any tips to get to the end let us know. In any case we're already working on perfecting the level design for the updates we'll post after the Jam is over if you want to retry it!

I revisited it while going through entries with my friend and actually managed to get to the end with only two restarts! I really love all the ideas presented here and my friend (has taken way too many Classics courses) really enjoyed the story.

Developer

Yay!!! Hope you enjoyed the ending (by the way, there's two 👀) and thanks to your friend too (I relate to the way too many Classics courses).

Nobody asked.

does baby need a nappy wappy

You need to get your shit together. As well as that, get it through your thick head that you're adopted.

little baby pooped themselves and needs a wittwe nappy?

*wittle. If you're trying to be funny- You seem to have so much experience with what people say around babies, I'd say that you've probably just grown out of being one; hello, 2 year old! Come, take your first steps! Awwwwwww, you hungry?

little poopy butthole?

Hi!  Wanted to check out your game, but I can only play in browser.  The artwork looks really nice

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks! Sorry about that, unfortunately we didn't have the time to make a browser build :( But we're working to release it post-rating! So yeah keep an eye out if you want to play it :)

bruh my team literally did the same thing, but yours expands on the idea a bit more with the turn mechanic actually being used, the reveal mechanic which reveals information on the next roll, and the flow mechanic which is all very neato. (also a story and multiple music tracks?? nicee)

art is absolutely top notch, music is good as well, although at the end where the edm drums kick in could've been better, but i'm not going to stress on that too much.

good job on this damn, more people should check this out!!

Developer

Hi, glad you enjoyed our game, I'll make sure to play yours too!! About the music: yeah, unfortunately we had some problems near the end triggering it at the right time and stopping a track before the finale :/. The two endings were supposed to have entirely different tracks. We managed to fix it luckily so after the Jam is over we'll publish the updated game! If you're curious about listening to those two tracks in the meantime we released the OST on Bandcamp. :)

Submitted(+1)

wait what do you mean two endings..?

Developer (1 edit)

well basically you can get a "good" ending by completing the game normally and then you can get a "bad" one if you do too much of a... thing. try and get a look at the ui/some of the starting dialogue. "the past isn't as fixed as we think it is".

What can I say? perfect level design, perfect art, perfect sound.

I love the art... Great game!

Psst! Rate my game too!

Submitted(+1)

I like the art style very much, which is generally good, but the idea of this mechanism is too common, and the mechanism is relatively unintuitive is the only regret.

Submitted(+1)

Beautiful art. Lovely (old but gold) story. Theming is well incorporated. And most importantly for me, that reveal feature that so many of these kinds of games are lacking. This game is perfect!

Submitted(+1)

I really like the Art style and the way you made the dots on the dice into eyes, The mechanic was also pretty cool, although quite similar to other games I've played, Still, I had a lot of fun.

Good job!

(p.s, I would appreciate it if you could try out my game, it's really short so it would take only a moment to try it out, Thanks!)

Of the dice-rolling-land-on-number games in this jam, this might be my favourite. The narrative adds a lot (props to the writer for the cool dialogue and atmosphere), the music is great, and the art is gorgeous.

I'm still not exactly sure what the arrows did to me; I just sort of brute forced my way through those. But I think it's mostly my struggles with properly visualising the spatial gestalt of a die.

Anyway, great game; good luck with the results!

Level designer here. Regarding the arrow tiles, there's a missing animation that would have helped the player better understand what they did (they turned the dice 90°) but admittedly the tutorial level that introduces them does a pretty poor job at teaching/explaining the mechanic to the player. We're 100% planning on remaking that level and some other parts of the game too for when the voting will be over and we're finally able to update it~

Thank you so much for the kind words! <3

Great style and presentation. Absolutely wonderful game, professional and fun!

I absolutely love the style you guys put into this! great work!

Amazing! Loved the music, the art, and the level of design. I thought the puzzles were a bit simple in some cases but it was still great! The game is so well polished! Congratulations on an amazing game :D

Also, please say hi to the dog and pet it!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

The dog has been pet! Then he did a funny sound.
Thank you so much for the kind words <3

An overall nice experience. Graphic and music-wise is really good, the track is catchy and the game map is well designed. The main character (the dice) is really cool, I liked the eyes animation the most. The story is cute and funny, even if we think that it has to start and finish in few levels, it is well constructed. The gameplay is the part that I understood the least. From the first level I tought I was doing something wrong, because I was practically playing this game as a trial and error. I'm not saying I didn't enjoyed it, I just hope it was explained better.

As I've said, it was overall a nice experience. If this game will be updated, I would be happy to replay it.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the die it was my first time ever making and animating sprites! -Blabla(artist)

Epic music and great artwork. Plus, the story gives you an actual progression after each challenge. I admit that I cheated and used a real die for some parts of the puzzle.

Keep up the good work!

Now I have to get back to my reading... *opens Ovid's Metamorphosis*

Developer

Level designer here: reading this made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside because I also had to use a real actual die to figure out how the puzzles could be solved in the first place haha. Thank you so much for playing <3

i still can't believe i wrote this story!!! ok bye give our game some love <3

The presentation of this game is amazing! The mechanics are interesting - the way you have to try get yourself in the correct orientation reminds me of the game bloxorz. The story atmosphere and music were very polished - great submission!

Submitted(+1)

Awesome aesthetics here, both in how the game looks and in the animations. I also liked how there's a narrative element to a game that could be entirely mechanic! Great job here!
