I'm sorry but there seams to be a game-breaking bug, as I can't get the dice to roll.

Developer

I'm sorry you've encountered that bug, did you try restarting the game? I didn't find that when testing so thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I want to make this a full game release at some point and want to squash as many bugs as I can.

Thanks a lot for playing!

i did restart, but not redownload, that might have fixed it

Developer

Hopefully. I am aware that some antivirus software interfere with the game for some reason also. So maybe that is the issue.

Sorry again :)

The camera is very annoying and the controls are a bit clunky

Developer

Hey there! Thanks for playing my game!

I completely agree about the camera issue, because of the time limit I wanted to try something new and I didn't have enough time to polish that as much as I'd like.

As for the controls, could you expand on what you mean by clunky? I had fairly good feedback from playtesters but would love to see how I can improve.

Thanks a lot,

By controls feeling clunky I mean they are a bit counter intuitive in my opinion, the movement is relative to the dice orientation instead of the camera, but since the dice keeps rolling it's difficult to keep track what button to press to move forward, and also the acceleration and gravity feel a bit weird

Developer(+1)

Ah okay, thanks for the feedback!

I definitely want to change the whole camera system so that the dice moves towards where you are facing and that the camera rotates with the mouse around the dice.

I'll also tinker with the mass of the dice to see if that improves the gravity feel.

Thanks again :)

Cool idea, the camera is awful though. Also I wish the movement was relative to where the camera was, IE: W moves forward.

Developer

Hey there, thank you for playing my entry!

Yeah I've gotten a few comments mentioning the camera. I tried something new for the jam and didn't have enough time to really polish it.

I'll definitely try to make it better for future jams by making it relative to the camera. I did get that feedback from playtesters but I couldn't figure it out before the end of the jam.

Thanks a lot for playing!
