I could have sworn that I had already left a comment! I guess I just forgot!
Anyway, the art and sound effects were nice and clean, and the concept is cool.
I had a hard time reading the instructions because of the font, but it is interesting. Maybe adding a dark background behind it would make it easier to read. Also, I felt like the spikes on the first puzzle moved a little too fast. Also, checkpoints would be welcome.
Good job overall!
Interesting game!I like the visuals!Going back to the first level is tough tho.
Nice mechanic and well presented :)
Although I think having to go all the way back to beginning every time you die is a bit brutal, especially in a puzzler.
Hi I tried to play your game but I couldn't figure out how to get the mac download to work -- completely my fault but not sure what to do.
It's a nice little game, Though I'm not a fan of perma death for this kind of games.
Good job :)
Game looks and sounds good, but getting send back to the main title after each death kept me unengaged.
Still, good job on your game!
Great looking game! Only thing that would have been nice is a level select and more gradual difficulty curve
Hey, just giving you a heads-up: There’s been some fraudulent voting with fake accounts on this page. Just in case it wasn’t obvious, do not or encourage others to create fake accounts to vote on your project. You may want to check with your friends or family to ensure they aren’t doing that. If we see any more issues your page will be disqualified from the jam.
no need to send level 1 after death
Dude the game looks so polished and feels nice to play. The only thing that bugs me a lil is that dang popup that appears every time you restart, and I also couldn't get teleportation working. But all in all a quality game
Nice little game
It's a great challenging game.
Thanks for feedback!
a very cool game!!!
thank you! :)
Fun and chill game ! :3
well made !
Thank you for feedback! :)
Could you rate this game?
Well polished game with really nice aesthetics. I am really bad at these games, so I would have appreciated some kind of checkpoint system for being able to finish it, but it was still fun nonetheless. Nice job!
Thanks for feedback :)
This is a nice and clean relaxing gamejam game! I personally wasn't worried about the spike movement being telegraphed like some other players were? Not sure where that came from. Since you could just observe them at the start to see what their pattern was.
Everything works really well, my only *minor* complaint might be to let the WASD input be buffered just a little bit, so its a bit easier to time, or even let the button be held down.
Also for the theme, this is the first one I played where randomness does not play a part but it still matches the theme. Well done!
Thank you for feedback! :)
Congrats on finishing your game for the jam!
Your concept is simple and straightforward - perfect for a game jam. And it looks like you were able to execute on it well! Controls work nicely, and your presentation, both art and sfx, are fitting. The pip-text is a bit difficult to read at times, but there's not too much of it.
The biggest deviation from the grid-based movement puzzles I see are the moving spikes, adding a bit of real time to the game. With grid based games, especially puzzles that encourage you to take your time to think, I try to avoid real time elements as that directly contradicts the time to think you're supposed to have. It's not bad here, but the designs oppose each other, making it a bit more challenging for you to design. Like Mark mentioned on his stream, it might have been useful to telegraph the moving spike paths in some way - such as scratch marks on the ground, or even different colored tiles.
Having to restart on a failed puzzle is a real downer. I made it pretty far on my first go through but didn't want to redo everything after one death. For your next jam, work on making player failure a less punishing experience, whether that be checkpoints in an action or platformer, shorter levels for puzzlers, or something else.
Good job completing your jam. Keep learning, keep improving, and keep making games!
Interesting puzzle game concept, nice art and audio. Maybe I'm just getting old but I found it tough to even beat the first level as I couldn't get the timing right. Maybe make the first one easier so that people (like me) can get the hang of it quicker.
Thank you for feedback :)
Good puzzle game!
What I liked?
- The Dice movement and animation are satisfying
- The music and SFX are great
Other comments:
- It is too bad that it doesn't have a sort of "save system", because it was frustrating to restart from the beginning when losing
Overall nice work!
Thank you for feedback :)
Nice game, congrats ! The art and music fit well and it is polish. Maybe just the hit box is a little bit to big but it is all.
thank you for your feedback :)
