Hey! We enjoyed playing this on stream yesterday. It was pretty challenging, but it was a really engaging shooter that works great as a mobile game! A couple times, a run felt kindof unfair due to enemy spawns and timing, but other than that we had a great time with this. Nice work!
Thanks for streaming it and so glad you liked it <3
Yea the gamejam version is a bit unfair and unbalanced but I'm continuing the development of it and majority of the balancing issues are already done just waiting for the jam to be over so I can upload the better version.
Really polished and fun to play. I think the idea behind the die adding on time was great, but it could've been made more clear, or just more explicit that it was controlling the time. Either way, great job!
Thanks, glad you liked it.
The dice was supposed to have more profound and apparent meaning but I ran out of time and had to suffice for the bare bones mechanic.
I will add more to it on later iterations of the game...
I like this one ! Very nervous, nice graphics, great sounds... just a little bit too hard for me =D
Good job !
Thanks, glad you liked it.
The dev version is already more blanced than the gamejam release so you have to wait til the jam is over to get more of it in a balanced and more enjoyable manner. <3
Cool dynamic game ! For hardcore gamers ! Maybe you could add more importance to the dice mechanics ! Well done.
Nice that you liked the game.
There was supposed to be more dice mechanics implemented but I ran out of time to implement them and had to rely on the working base mechanics.
The game will be improved and expanded further after the jam is over, already much done but have to wait for the jam to be over to publish the latest version.
This game has a super strong vibe. Great game :)
Thanks, glad you liked it.
And it will have even more super strong vibes with more levels, musical tracks, voice lines, enemies etc developed to a full game later on.
Nice game, the first one that I've played with mobile support. Really cool stuff, although I would like to see the dice more involved. Great job!
Thanks, glad you liked it.
The dice was supposed to have better and more apparent mechanics to it with different types of effects, but I ran out of time so I had to submit the bare bones dice implementation that worked.
I am continuing to develop the game and just waiting for the jam to end to upload the latest iteration <3
It'll be fun to see what you can make with no time crunch, will surely be playing the updated version!
Nice Space Invaders with randomness. Loved that there was a dev cheat in it. Helped me a lot, still couldn't finish it in 15 minutes. Graphics and Sound were decent and consistent. Definitely a nice game. Good Job.
Thanks, glad you liked our game <3
Will be continuing to develop it further to a full fledged game with way more content.
Haha, this is hardcore! Could be made into something really cool i think, but would need to be balanced out a bit more (maybe start off with some one-hit enemies, and have harder enemies give you more time, so you can have more of a progression curve). But very cool for a 48h project!
Thanks, glad you liked our game <3
The balancing is under works and on the dev version it is way more balanced already with loads of more content and survivability.
And I will be expanding from here with much more content, more ships to fly, with different fire patterns, more enemies, voicelines, levels etc.
Keep following for more updates after the jam is over.
I think the game is very difficult. Not only do I have a timer and I have to defeat enemies, I can't get hit once. I always think that one hit mechanics are frustrating in almost all games because they don't leave the player with an opportunity to make mistakes. The upgrades feel very powerful though. I also love the music, sound effects and aesthetics of the game. The spaceship is also easy to control. Overall i think this is a solid submission. Good job.
Thanks for the feedback, yea the game is hard but because the iteration to play again is fast paced enough the death will not set you back too much on the gameplay flow.
The level can be played through in about 90 seconds tops.
I have balanced up the spawning of the power ups already and I'm planning to improve the survavability mechanic a bit so it won't be so brutal.
"OUT STANGING" entry haha
love the graphics, sound, and gameplay was a little too hard but still very enjoyable
Glad that you like our game.
Yea it is a bit on the hard side on the gamejam release, it will be more balanced after the jam is over and I can upload the new version.
Very polished! I wish I could have made it to see the boss
I'm glad you liked it, keep playing, you'll get there.
And after the jam is over I've already made loads of improvements on the game and will be expanding a lot from there.
I've got quite a lot of plans on this game to continue.
Multiple levels, many more enemies, multiple ships to pilot with different fire patterns and moar weapons and opponents.
seeesh those guys pack a punch for being "crappy". tdil I suck at bullet hells. Id still play it on my phone tho
Thanks, glad you like our game.
Yea they do tend to pack a punch, and yes this is a perfect game to play when sitting on a crapper with a phone in your hand.
So I've heard X
Super interesting idea being a game where you only live for 6 seconds! I bet it could be a lot more intense with some time manipulation effects, for example if time slowed down as it counted down to 0 so that you could really edge out and get the next power up just before time runs out. Great work with all art and sound effects in the game, it feels great!
Thanks, glad you liked our game.
That idea is quite ingenious, I did something like that slowdown for the final edge last year on one prototype game I was working on, I think I could implement it on this nicely.
Super satisfying to play and cool implementation of the theme! :)
Thanks <3
Glad you liked our game, hope you like it even more after the jam when I get to update the game big time for more levels, enemies, ships, weapons, and kind of like everything, more bigger badder and satisfying.
Loved the sound design in this game. Gameplay is solid and smooth, transitions are also very cool
Thanks, So glad you liked our game <3
Already working on expanding the game more and will be releasing regular updates after the jam is over.
I really missed the theme in the game. The dice kind of didn't matter at all, but a very good bullet hell game for 48 hours (I think thats the genre, right?)
Somewhat yes, the dice defines the amount of life time you get back after destroying an enemy target or when picking up time bonus item.
There was supposed to be more mechanics added to it but I ran out of time to implement them to a working state.
Interesting take on this. Unfortunately I kept dying cause I wasn't keeping an eye on the timer... Maybe have that ui closer to the player sprite?
Yup, the UI overhaul is coming up after the jam to correct made mistakes in it.
the last 2 seconds there is increasing an alarm telling that the time is almost up.
At that time up your enemy destruction to get more life time.
I like the way how the camera is moving altogether with the ship - quite immersive experience!
Nice work!
Thanks, I'm glad that the immersion played through to you, I'm quite happy with the effect too.
Presentation was great, very interesting concept as well. I'll check it out again once the jam ends to see the mechanics you didn't have time to add, there's potential for expansion for sure. Viilee peli veli.
Glad you liked the game, there definitely will be continuation on this project and it's already under works.
Nice game, very pretty, maybe needs a tutorial for what the dice does?
Thanks, glad you liked the game.
The dice determines the amount of life time you get when destroying obstacles and picking up the time bonus icosahedrons.
The dice function was supposed to be incorporating more functions, but I ran out of time to implement the working versions of them in the release.
