Cool game, it looks very nice!

Felt like I spent too much time in the menus rolling or equiping, but that might be my fault cause I kept getting the Z and X the wrong way around.

Great game though

Thanks for playing! And I am planning to add Input Remapping after the jam voting period :)

Nice game! It was fun to play and I liked the visuals.

Hi joshpinto6, congrats on your submission! I played your game til the end wanting for more levels. Keep it up!

Thanks so much! I will hopefully add 2 more worlds with at least 6 levels each to the game after the voting period :)

Really nice game! Feels very polished overall, and I had no trouble with the controls.

I'm not huge fan of having to roll the dice before using it to attack, but I recognize the potential :P

Was kinda sad it ended right when I started getting the hang of it and becoming quicker and better, but that's a jam game for you :D

Very well done! And it's very impressive that you did all this with Scratch, but I wonder what made you choose it as a game engine instead of another one (?)

I have only started using Godot very recently,  so I decided to use something that I know much better, Scratch... It also has some other advantages, and since my idea was to create a (relatively) simple platformer, I just chose it instead. It sure was a lot of work, though... the project had over 4000 blocks!

Great art, controls are a little hard to get used to

Developer(+1)

Yeah, After the voting period, I am planning to add options for auto-equip and for auto-closing the inventory after equipping a dice. Thanks for commenting, though :)

+1! that's add a lot to QOL!

Great pixel art!

Also you made this in scratch?? super impressive!

Thanks for playing!

Oh, yeah... In Scratch, this had over 4000 blocks :)

Hi I enjoyed your game! The menu system was a little fiddly but probably something that could be worked out after the jam if you are going to continue working on it. The other mechanics were pretty tight and I really liked the art style and audio choices, especially the dice rolling noise.

Thanks for the feedback! After the voting period, I am planning to add options for auto-equip and for auto-closing the inventory after equipping a dice. The sound effects are by kenney.nl, by the way!

The art and music were very good. I didn’t feel like the dice mechanic were very impactful, though. And it added a lot of menu-ing for a platformer.

Loved that artstyle!

But the menus and roll system are a bit unconfortable to use.

Liked the idea, had fun throwing dices into the enemies. Controls feels very weird and it was uncomfortable for me :(

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing (and commenting) Could you tell me specifically what part of the controls felt weird? Thanks!

Submitted

The Z and X part. I would prefer to move character with WASD and choose dices with arrows or something else on the right part of the keyboard. Current layout breaks my mind xD

Maybe 2 layouts in the start of the game to choose from would solve the issue.

Developer(+1)

I'm planning on adding Input Remapping as well as a full options menu in the full game after the voting period :)

Submitted

The fact that you made this in Scratch makes it much more impressive to me (I could never figure out Scratch for some reason). Great job!

Developer

Thanks! :)

Really nice game! The only bit I would add is maybe not allowing the player to re-roll the dice after they already did to make each roll a bit more meaningful, but other than that It was really charming!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I'll consider doing that. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

Very cute art :3

I totally dig the art style. Really well executed. I wonder if there'd be a way to simplify the menu interactions a bit. All in all very cool!

Interesting game! The combining of inventory system and the level-based platformer is really cool. Good job : )

Pretty good. I didn't quite get what was the point of rolling dice though!

Fun platformer, the inventory mechanic took some getting used to but once I had it down I had a good time!

Thanks for the feedback! :)
