How does your game fit the theme?
The character is trapped in a time loop, unable to escape until they collect the memory objects that will help them confront their past. If they fail to gather the necessary items, the day resets. But with each loop, the objects change location—revealing new clues about their forgotten story.

Nice narrative

Thank you! I’m really glad you liked the story. I tried to put a lot of heart into it.

Reviewed on Stream: https://www.youtube.com/live/qmE3TfBP5F0?t=4933s

Developer

Thank you so much for reviewing it on stream! I really appreciate you taking the time to check out my game. I’ll definitely watch the segment! :)

The narrative is definitely the core strength here, I can absolutely relate.

Developer

Thank you so much! I’m really happy the narrative resonated with you.  I put a lot of focus on that part. Your comment means a lot to me!

Love the art style of this game. I also like the difference in approach to the "Loop" theme!

I think the narrative element is really strong and has potential to be a good full-fledged game. I really hope you do that. I'd be very interested in it!

There's tons of minor improvements you can make to the system but nothing you dont already know about. It's difficult to do all the optimizations for a game jam! But you did amazing in the time you had!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your kind words and support!   I'm really happy to hear that the art style and my take on the "Loop" theme stood out to you ,  that means a lot!

The narrative is something I really care about, so hearing that it has potential makes me even more excited to keep building on it. I definitely plan to expand the story and polish everything post-jam!

And yes , you're absolutely right about the improvements. There are a lot of little things to fix and optimize, but time is always tight during a jam!  I'm grateful you noticed the effort despite the limitations.

Thanks again for the encouragement . it really motivates me to keep going and make the full version even better!

Haha I think there was a little mix-up ,  looks like the same comment was posted twice! :D But still, thank you so much for taking the time to write it! I really appreciate the kind words and encouragement. It means a lot and definitely motivates me to keep improving the gam

The art here is pretty. However there a ton of collision issues in this game. Also some major y-sorting things that needed to be fixed for this to be playable. adding a 9slice would help long term post jam if you continue this forward. I think it has a unique gem for a longer story. once the jam ends and you remove the quicker countdown. Because there could be a longer narrative for day/night cycles and repeated days forgetting after sleeping or interacting with npcs. Im curious to see the longer game here.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much for this detailed and thoughtful feedback . it really means a lot! I’ve taken notes on everything you pointed out, especially the collision issues, Y-sorting problems, and the UI suggestions like adding 9-slice. I absolutely agree that those areas need improvement, and I'm already working on fixing them for the post-jam update.

I'm also really happy that the core idea resonated with you. The concept of a longer story with day/night cycles, memory resets after sleeping, and NPC interactions is exactly what I want to explore more deeply in the extended version. The jam version was a bit rushed due to the countdown mechanic, but I’m excited to take my time with the full game.

Thanks again for taking the time to write such a helpful comment .  I truly appreciate it and it motivates me to keep building on this project!

Great looking game. I couldn't figure it all out, but the movement was nice and snappy

Developer

Thank you! I’m glad you liked the movement. I’m working on making the game’s mechanics clearer so everyone can enjoy it fully. Your feedback really helps!

Very interesting concept. I also got stuck after the third loop, just when I felt like I was starting to piece a few things together. Great first jam entry!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm really glad the concept caught your interest. You're right , the third loop can be a bit tricky, and I'm planning to improve the flow and clarity in future updates. Your feedback means a lot, especially since this is my first GMTK Jam game! :)

Very interesting, reminds me o Minit, but for some reason timer got stuck at 0 on the third loop. Really beautiful art.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I’m really happy you enjoyed it. I appreciate your feedback . I must have missed that bug with the timer stuck at 0 on the third loop. I’m planning to update the game after the jam, and I’ll definitely take your comment into account. Also, I’m really glad you liked the art; that means a lot to me. Thanks again for letting me know!

Ooo, nice game! A very different interpretation of the "loop" theme—and I really liked it.
The idea of a time loop of memory has a lot of potential, and your art definitely does it justice.

That said, I couldn’t ignore a couple of basic mistakes, like the UI alignment and some diagonal movement issues.

But hey, it’s your first game jam, so congrats! 🎉
At least you managed to finish the game on time, and that’s a huge achievement in itself.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words! I really appreciate your honest feedback about the UI and movement . it helps me improve a lot. I’m excited to keep learning and making better games. Thanks again for playing and sharing your thoughts ✨

Nice game of finding memories. I can see potential in this. I wish there was a way to distinguish between interactable and non interactable items (e.g. using particles). Anyway, it was cool to see the world shift. Great idea and nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed the memory-finding aspect and the world shifting mechanic. Your suggestion about distinguishing interactable items with particles is a great idea .  I'll definitely keep that in mind for future updates. Also, I’m planning to continue developing the game and add more features soon, so stay tuned! Thanks again for playing and supporting the project!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really happy you found the idea solid , that means a lot! I put extra effort into balancing the randomness and making the story feel intriguing, so it's amazing to hear that you enjoyed those parts. I was confused on what to do when I first played but really enjoyed playing once I understood. I love the artstyle and the 2.5D aspect.

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the game once you got the hang of it. I really appreciate you noticing the art style and 2.5D aspect ,  those were things I put a lot of effort into. Your feedback means a lot!

Liked the idea of a time loop based on memories, but I did feel that I was randomly picking up objects. Probably scope to make the loop longer, give some more clues, and maybe make it level-based so there's different loops for different situations! Loads of potential with the idea.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing and for the thoughtful feedback! You're right , some object interactions might feel random at times. I'm definitely planning to improve the flow in future updates by adding more clues and structure. I also really like your idea of having level-based loops with different situations , that actually gave me some inspiration! Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts, it really means a lot.

Submitted(+1)

I completed the loop and I have no idea why. Intriguing, would've benefitted from a "win" screen that gives the player a resolution (even if it's just text based).

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for finding it intriguing!  Actually, when you collect all the necessary objects, this message appears at the end

"You weren't here. You were in your mind. Each object left a trace. You tried to forget... but you remembered. And now, the loop ends."

That was meant to give a bit of resolution , but I totally get that it could be easy to miss or feel too subtle. I'm planning to improve this part in a post-jam update, maybe with a more visually or emotionally striking ending. Really appreciate your feedback!

Submitted(+1)

I did see that ending text, but I guess it was too vague for me that I didn't get it.

Developer

You're absolutely right . I’ll make that part clearer with the next update. Thank you so much for the feedback!

Fast and good speedrun game

nice

The only thing I'd change is

adding sound

and improving the artwork, because it's not asymmetrical.

Developer

Thank you so much! Yes, I was planning to add sound later, but I completely forgot during the jam. I’m planning to update the game after the jam ends .  I’ll definitely add sounds and also improve the art assets then. Really appreciate your feedback!
