Really fun game with lots of potential for the future! I really liked the art style and characters
The pixel art looks really good and well put together, especially the visual effect of the blocks coming into the scene. The puzzle and timing elements are interesting and could definitely be expanded upon with more levels. Overall, a great entry!
It's a fun puzzle game that you could definitely expand on. The pixel art and color palette are great. There are a few things you could tidy up, like mousing over the potato as they go down the hole still shows the popup menu spinning around. And some sound will go a long way! Great work.
I really appreciate that :D My mind has been racing since doing the jam; definitely in scope creep mode now. Have a bunch I’m going to update post jam.
OH! I didn’t realize that. Will definitely fix that up. I imagine that would be quite humorous.
Sound is definitely quick to follow. Thanks for playing!
Really cool interpretation of the theme, I enjoyed this a lot. I just wish there were a few more levels.
Thanks for the kind words! Was only doing the jam part time, so didn’t get to everything we wanted. Will definitely be adding more for the post jam version for sure!
Ahh, that’s a really good call out! Maybe the bubble can become a bit transparent after a second or two of inactivity to try show you what is going on?
That’s a great idea. I originally wanted it to be a command line type thing where you write all the commands out, then settled on this because I couldn’t figure out the UX of how to do that in a nice way within the time frame.
I think that the full game will be a better resolution, so it gives more space to do something nice like that.
Ahh yup. I’ve added some more instructions to the page to hopefully clear up the expectations.
I think what may not have been clear is that the tater won’t stop when it reaches a trapdoor and that you have to have to get them both to reach the door on the same move.
This then may have lead to why it seemed to go back levels if you overshot and it failed with max moves and made you restart the same level.
