It was harder than I expected XD, I though that shadow idea too, maybe you could use it for more puzzle-type games too

The time-helper mechanic is clever and has tons of potential for new contexts, it can be pushed even further.
Also, fantastic work on the lighting effects, they greatly add to the atmosphere
Awesome entry. You should be proud! 😀👍🏻
Definitely had my fill after 2 levels. Cool concept but needs more fleshing out
Very challenging, sometime it felt hard to turn. Otherwise, I had fun!
The first level was fun but then I wanted something more different
Like someone else said. Fantastic take on Pac-Man. I really liked the effect of the red fire on your loops. I hated the fact that the enemies take other routes in your next attempts. It makes harder to predict what the previous loops may affect this run.
Haha I 100% felt that way when I play tested it too! And they definitely chase you to some extent (but they never change paths from previous lives).
If you’re interested, the way the enemies work is they first cycle between a chase mechanic, and a random direction mechanic. Once you die, they replay their initial paths up until they run out of instructions on their “replay tape”. After that, they go back to chase and scatter (which then lengthens their replay tape). So they do always do the same motion as previous rounds, but if you survive longer than all your previous shadows, then you will definitely get chased.
Honestly, sometimes the timing between the enemies and your shadows gets a tiny bit off, so that could cause issues too, but with limited time, I had to prioritize other bigger bugs in need of squashing!
I see what you mean with the similar concept of mine, I enjoyed the limited vision making it more challenging, but i agree with what some people said that maybe you should have limited lives but otherwise a fun twist on the pacman game
Died very quickly and then saw the pacman similarities! Was very intuitive and I understood exactly how to proceed. I feel there wasn't much punishment for dying except go again to speed it up. In the last level I had lots of trouble finding two magic hidden in darkness between two lights. Great game!
the shadow thing is a good technical thing, though i don't think it adds too much to the gameplay. if you die just go for the flames that you left before and hold enough for the shadows to collect the flames. It sn't frustating and feels nice though.
YoooOOOOOoo! Magic PACMAN! Actually such a good game, it really built on its mechanics. Once I realized that my clones could die from the ghosts - game changer.
ITS LIKE PACMAN but instead of just dying, i cant have an army of shadow clones. I really enjoy it and was fun, even if the last 3 "dark magic" some times hide from me every level. Really good
Well, as an enjoyer of pacman variants this is a great game! Although the ending seems a bit rushed :I
I loved the gameart and the flashlight viewing restriction. Maybe a permanent death after a few deaths would have spiced it up a little. Anyway great game! Enjoyed it very much :D
The game is really great! I especially liked the idea that after dying, another version of ourselves appears . it’s a really cool concept.
This was so good! Love how you incorporated the loop concept in such a fun way .
This is a great take on the theme. I love the choice to make it dark and limit the vision, really makes you pay attention to your last loop! Great work, well done :)
