Really nicely put together puzzle game, as a maths enjoyer I very much appreciate it! Just a shame some of the solutions aren't hard coded in, got so excited after spending ages on a level and finally finding a solution that wasn't valid ;_;

Very creative game, gives me the same carnal satisfaction of being a numbers nerd that Picross does. That said, getting a preview of what number the equation is actually making would be very helpful for visualizing what I'm doing and working it out in my head, that's about the only thing I can think of though, good work!
So glad that you like and enjoy solving the puzzle. The sense of achievement is what drives me solving and making different puzzles.
I do agree that having a preview will be very helpful. I would like to include that if possible. Yet, the game is made with Puzzlescript Next which does not support any math at all, and that's why the solutions are hardcoded. It is almost impossible to include all the possible expressions.

Wow!! Very impressive and satisfying to solve. But that difficulty curve hits fast! I'm familiar with and enjoy math crossword puzzles like this, but for a general audience where you might be introducing this to gamers without that experience, the jump to Level 2 with so little pre-placed operations could be a very, very big jump. Of course, I can't speak to whether you want that wider audience appeal or if you know your niche. Maybe you already thought about that, but I wanted to share that perspective. I did end up needing the hints as it went along but I stuck it through and really liked the sound design for dragging the squares. I know that's a small little detail but it was satisfying.

It is difficult for a puzzle to be one-size-fits-all. But surely I would take your opinion into account. Would probably modify the levels after the jam. Glad that you like the sound effect.

This was really fun! Its deceptively simple and there were a good number of cool discovery moments that only puzzle games can give you. I was able to get to level 7 but couldn't figure it out. I feel like some levels struggle a lot from being too open ended and requiring a lot of trial and error, but overall I had a really good time. One of my favorites from this jam!
You are one of the few that make it through levels 5 and 6! Happy to see you feel satisfied after solving the puzzle. Each level contains a new idea (mathematical concept) of forming the loop.

I like puzzle games, but this one was too difficult, there are too many combinations to think about and I'm not determinated enough, but it's not a bad game, the level difficulty is increasing exponentially, blocking me at level 2. (I feel very dumb XD), the artwork and audio were good :D!!! But I'll continue playing it later as a challenge.

I didn’t know PuzzleScript can handle mouse events. 0_0 Honestly, I was ready to WASD as soon as I saw the title screen.
I like the idea a lot, puzzles are well designed and fun to tackle. I’ll definitely be back for more later, when I’ll be in my puzzle-playing mood.

I really love this idea. The fact that you have to put it into a loop adds just a bit more complexity to it and that's great. I will say that level 4 new mechanic was at least for me something I would have never discovered on my own. I do really like that as you go, you can slowly eliminate the possibilities. Could defiantly benefit from some polish. Congrats on submitting!

The puzzles are very well designed. The puzzle really takes me back to the math I did when I was still a kindergartener.
The sound designs are added in very well with the dragging sound and placing sound. It makes the game very satisfying to play.

Fun for puzzleheads and if multiple solutions are accepted (as long as they're correct) players could feel like they managed to outsmart you (in a good way).
One thing I would change: if you present the board, then wait for the player to click and then cut to text it feels disruptive, usually at that point I'm trying to pick up and place a tile, but clicking triggers the text screen instead. Most of the same messages could be presented as hints when the player clicks a hint button.
Agree to the suggestion. I struggle a lot whether I should do level->message->level. Hint system is difficult to make as different players get stuck at different places.
Btw, it does allow multiple solutions and I have been outsmarted more than once (Trying my best to avoid this only because my solutions are hardcoded). Thanks for playing and your invaluable feedback definitely helps.
Perhaps a good compromise is presenting the text on a seethrough panel, or on a side panel while the play area is greyed out. That way the player sees both the message and the board state but can't take any actions yet.
Neat interpretation of the loop theme, it's tied in surprisingly well. This game gets tough quickly, but in a way that feels satisfying to relieve the frustration. Great puzzler, well done!
