This is probably my best-rated game so far! It looks good, it sounds good (that *broop* sound when you complete a loop, niiice), and the gameplay is a lot of fun! If I had to give feedback for an eventual sequel / full-release, I would say 1) being able to pause the trucks while placing buildings & thinking would be super nice and 2) I'd recommend a monospace font for the HUD or making the HUD larger, so that it doesn't resize whenever the points count up (but that's honestly a nitpick and did not detract from the overall feel of the game at all). Great job!
Thanks so much your review!! I think the monospace font would be fitting for sure, and if we get back to it, we'll see how the game feels if we introduce a pause when placing buildings, it's really worth considering!
clean simple visuals, but super vibrant colors! Starting with 1000$ made it easy to progress, maybe starting low for people to grasp the idea of how to make money could make it a little more challenging!
Thanks for playing our game! And yeah, you're right, we didn't have time to finetune as much as we wanted, so we ended being generous with the money and number of trucks. But if we decide to keep working on this, that's one of the point we wanted to address, thanks for your feedback, even if we noticed, it encourages us to be really deliberate with this matter.
Very creative idea. The core of directing trucks around the planet was really good concept. Just was overwhelmed by all of the colors and tiny trucks driving around. Also felt that towers should have been more costly so that placing them would be more intentional. The camera control was very good for a planetoid along with the background. Congrats on submitting!
Ty so much for your feedback! You're right, we have noticed a lot of areas of improvement , the progress and scaling of a game, the behavior system and so on. Unfortunately we couldn't start iterating earlier, and we decided to give abundant resources to play around. Personally, I'm pretty sure that if we decide to keep working on this one and reach the design we envisioned, It'll be more engaging and deliberate.
I liked the game, cool take on the "forming a loop" concept. I felt a little bit overwhelmed by all the trucks. Would have loved to start slow with just one truck and then increasing the amount as the game went on.
Thank u! Yeah, we think the amount of trucks gives the game a good gameplay, but starting with fewer could've been a good tutorial to grasp the main mechanics
The minimalist visuals give it a clean vibe, though
Thanks, we precisely aimed for that!
super unique concept and really good implementation of this jam’s theme!
Thanks a lot, we appreciate the compliment!!
The concept is interesting and it is quickly understood how it works.
Thanks!!
Really loved the menu theme. Very unique and interesting interpretation of the jam theme. Great work!
Thanks a lot!! I'm glad you enjoyed it
Amazing game, very polished and looks gorgeous! Great job and amazing work!
Thanks so much!! I'm glad you liked it.
Great mechanics with great visuals i enjoyed the every second of playing it. And i think i found a kind of bug where you put a bunch of attracting buildings close to each other make trucks stuck
Thanks! Yeah, the polishing was not our strongest with this one, so shouldn't be specially hard to find some bugs
Unique concept, very cool 3D simulation type game! Would be interested to see what some examples of optimal play would be here.
Thanks a lot! We had to leave some ideas outside the game because they'd need a significant chunk of time to be functional but they would allow the game to have more defined strategies and fun ways to interact with the system, we're tempted to work on them.
From what I've been told, speed is meta in the current build lol
Great concept and a great use of the theme!
the fact that sometimes trucs just for forward and bak is kinda weird sometimes but overall great job
Congrats on your submission!
Thanks! Yes, we were aware of the navigation system needing more polish, with this time constraint it was difficult to implement a good solution for that, still I'm quite proud of what's been achieved by the team and we might improve this one later.
you're proud and you should honestly lol
I really liked the unique concept of closing loops around the planet on a 3D surface. The game looks polished and the tutorial was helpful, though it would be great to see point values displayed when loops score and tooltips for buildings to understand their effects better. Overall, a very cool and creative submission!
Thank u so much! Yea, tt isn't the most clear game when it comes to gameplay tbh, we may add a couple tooltips and displays when the jam time ends so it's easier to play it!
Really cool idea, with a nice and polished look.
ty!
I always love a unique take on the theme! Great job.
Ty! I'm glad you found it interesting.
Cool concept, definitely fits the theme. The tutorial was helpful, but I missed a bit and couldn't go back to see how points were actually calculated. It would be nice to have some sort of indication showing the point value of loops when they get scored. I also would have liked some sort of tool tip when I hover over the buildings, explaining how they would affect things. It required a lot of trial and error.
Ty so much!! Points are based on the length of the loop, the larger the perimeter the better. I do agree with you, we could've show the values and add more accessibility, We'll keep that in mind for future projects.
This was a really cool idea. I loved the fact that the gameplay took place on a 3d surface
Thanks!! It was a happy idea indeed, I never expected working on something like that, but I'm very pleased about what we achieved with this one.
Great concept
Woag this is really cool! Great submission :3
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
