Fun game. I love the visuals and there were a couple decent puzzles but would definitely love to see this idea furthered upon. Nice job.

Developer

Hi Rapatika, thanks for the nice comment :)
This is encouraging, we're also thinking about furthering upon the idea for a full release! Game now has keyboard controls if you'd like to experiment with that

Submitted(+1)

Really fun and stylish game! I would love to see the difficulty ramp up a little more somehow but it was super satisfying getting to the top for that view either way. Great job!

Developer

Hi messica, thanks so much for the feedback! We're now exploring making this into a full release, we see quite some potential in new mechanics!

Submitted(+1)

Amazing work and still cant beat it haha love everything about the game

Hahaha, this was great! Reminds me of Snake, but you put a puzzle spin on it, and an awesome aesthetic to boot. Only issue I had was the camera felt very sticky and hard to get where I wanted it, but otherwise I had a good time with this.

Also the dopamine hit of picking up all the boxes at the end was perfect.

Tankh you so much for playing!

We are aware of the camera problem that comes up with some people. We didn’t have this problem with testing, but it came up after submitting :( We will do our best to fix in the next possible update.

If this wasn’t an issue, do you think this has potential for a full game ?

Submitted(+1)

I'd play a full version! Would love to see how you could iterate further on the idea, because it was super chill.

Love the art style!
However, the movement control is a little bit a turn off for me.
I think it will be a significant improvement if you can control the cube(s) more easily (e.g. by keyboard).

Overall, Great game! ( 'v')b

Developer

thanks Geoff!

I agree, I will start looking into a different control scheme, maybe WASD for horizontal movement and Q and E to go up and down. That could work, what do you think?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I have something similar in mind too!
Although in my opinion R/F for going up and down will be better for this scenario.
I think Q/E most often associate with rotation in this kind of camera perspective.

Developer(+1)

Hey Geoff! I updated the game, it now has keyboard controls! I thought Q/E worked well for me, but I also added R/F to go up/down as you suggested. Let me know what you think if you give it another try :)
Thanks!

Feel sometimes hard to control and the camera has its own issues, overall looks great but indeed with a little more time this game is high promising! Congrats!

Developer

Hi Incidental, I just updated the game with camera fixes and keyboard controls (you can see them in the game's description)! Would love to know if you still experience issues with the camera and if you have any feedback on the keyboard controls.
Thanks :)

The "look through the building" solution was sick, and the last climb felt epic. Love the style as well.

Submitted(+1)

A little clunky at first but after that it was really fun!!! I enjoyed falling all the way down as a huge line after reaching the top, very satisfying. Also I think this is probably the only instance so far of Unreal being used to its potential, all the visual effects coalesce into fitting aesthetic. Love it.

The camera was bugged, I wish I could control the cubes with wasd or arrow keys instead of needing to change the camera angle every time. However, I had a lot of fun playing, the graphics really really well done, the level design was super cool and it was very rewarding getting to the top! Great game!

Developer

Hi vertex dune, thanks so much for playing!
I will explore better controls for a next update, maybe using WASD keys to move horizontally and E/Q to go up or down, according to the camera's position.
So sorry about the bugged camera, it seems to only happen to some people and I am not sure why! I will try to fix it as well for the next update.

Developer

Hi vertexdune, I just updated the game with camera fixes and keyboard controls (you can see them in the game's description)! Would love to know if you still experience issues with the camera and if you have any feedback on the keyboard controls.
Thanks :)

Incredibly cool concept, just a few notes. The camera felt pretty unresponsive, like it'd only register my mouse movement for half a second before making me click again, I would rather it just move until I let go of right-click (and if that's the intended behavior, then uh, oops). Would also like if you could undo one move since misclicking once can lead to plummeting all the way down. The tutorial at the start is also pretty unreadable, and some textures loaded when they shouldn't have. Otherwise though, very polished, really cool puzzles, and fun design all around, and the ending is super satisfying. Definitely deserves more votes.

Hi CutieMonica, thanks you so much for playing and for the helpful feedback!
Camera: Some people are having issues with it. We didn't have any when play testing so it got in the final build :( I will explore a solution for the next update!
The Undo move is a great idea, this is something we will explore if we make it into a full release.
For the grass and the tutorial, this will be fixed too :)

Awesome! would love to play a full release!

Really good looking game and I loved the atmosphere !

Great game with a cool style. Mechanics are fun and unique would play again 5/5 A+

Submitted(+1)

This game oozes style. I spent half my playtime just looking around at the levels. I also really dig the main mechanic! Great work!

Submitted(+1)

best looking game I have played so far, the style is impeccable!

Submitted

I really like the artstyle and the idea, though camera movement really made it difficult to play sometimes.

Developer

Thanks a lot! Didn't notice any issue with camera movement until now, I will make sure to post an update for it soon

Developer

New controls are much better, they improve experience a lot. No issues with camera.
That said, I fell down out of the level between first and second map, like second map appeared to slow to collide.
And once I got completely blocked I couldn't move in any direction but cannot really point you how to reproduce it. I was in the shape of rectangle (4 blocks) next to container in 3rd map and couldn't move even up.

Developer

Thanks for playing again and for the useful feedback!
-For the level 1 to level 2 transition, I agree, forgot to fix it in the last patch but it is now more apparent since you can go faster. I should make the transition start earlier and be faster (like for the other level transitions)
-You probably had an issue with an invisible collider.. I couldn't reproduce it but for a bigger game I will definitely be more careful about those situations!

Very cool art style and very fun gameplay mechanics I loved it !

Submitted(+1)

Very interesting concept, I like the environments and the gameplay is creative haven't seen anything like this before. Great job!

I really like the art style, good puzzle too like a 3D snake.
