The enemies scaled in difficulty a little too fast for my taste, but aside from that, really good game, one of my favourites of this jam!

Thanks for playing!

Lovely tower defense game! Beat it on my second try, had a nice scaling ramp of difficulty aside from the last den which I sometimes couldn’t approach given the constant waves. Great work!

Thank you for playing!

Beautiful game, nice concept. But I found most if not almost all of the difficulty came from going near the enemy base too early with no indication that a big wave would spawn from a certain distance, a bit frustrating. I also wasn't sure if I needed to catch the droplets from the trees at first.

Developer

Thank you for playing. And thanks for the feedback, very helpful.

My realization that you can destroy the enemy base was late. I already flooded one of the base with flowers, I was like wait the minute, it can be destroyed? lol

Developer(+1)

Yeah, sorry I didn't give clue about that 😅 Thanks for the feedback!

really enjoyed this one! seems very polished and is fun to play. Needed my time to figure out what which plant does, but reading the tutorial I kinda got into it. Really great job! :)

Developer

Thanks, very much appreciated 😊

Very cool and polished game! I thought of a similiar game in the beginning of the jam but did not know how to pull it off. You guys did an amazing job!

Developer

Thank for kind words, and for playing 😊

So cool!!! I was a little confused but the tutorial images helped a lot. I liked playing it and would definitely play more, but its quite hard if you get unlucky in the beginning!

Developer

Glad it got better with the tutorial. I'd include somthing like this into the game later. Thanks for playing!

Really cool game! I love how the plant doesn’t just snap into a square grid. I also liked how you’re encouraged to branch off from different places to prevent the enemies from destroying the whole plant in one attack. The art is really nice and the music is also fitting. I couldn’t finish the game though because the last cave just seemed to spawn way too many enemies than I could handle. But overall, great job!

Developer

Thanks for the review, and thanks for playing!

Pretty interesting idea. Thought I had figured the game out the third time I played it but then got completely overrun going for the last cave. Not exactly sure how spawning works, it seems like the best strategy is slowly building up resources before expanding too far? Would fit the plant theme pretty well, but also honestly a bit of a boring strategy. I really like the artwork though and this seems like an interesting idea for a tower defense game, best of luck working on balancing it!

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

"best strategy is slowly building up resources before expanding too far" - exactly. And it fits the jam's theme as well. You need to scale before you can handle bigger rushes.

I wanted to make "Sap" more valuable, so you will prepare for battles first, but it didn't work that well. But I already have some thoughts on better balance. Like adding obstracles, more fighting strategies and so on. Will defenetly work on it post jam.

The artwork is really nicely done but the game was challenging to understand especially I did not realize I was supposed to attach to trees and I did not understand when I was able to "mutate" and create something to protect me. The enemies came in too quick and way too large on numbers and the fields is too opened to know protect yourself. I would recommend easy the player in by having only one spawner and may focusing on one direction at first as you ramp up

Thanks for playing and your comments. I'd work on it post-jam. And now I'll try to add the tutorial image. Appreciated!

Interesting idea and nice art! The game makes me keep going forward until victory!
I picked up some trees and immediately got this ahhhhh They killed me pretty quickly.

A bit lacking in foolproofing because if we started building sprouts wrong, you'll be forced to just watch helplessly as you get killed for an extended time

Developer

Thank you for playing. I agree, the balance is not the easiest thing, to be honest. But I'll fix it in post jam. Thanks for your feedback!

Really good concept wise and gameplay. However, like Cozy frog said a tutorial might helped a lot in the game. Still good work and keep going

Really enjoyed the concept, was very solid gameplay wise, think just needed a proper tutorial and more variety but overall great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yeah, I agree. Game is a bit complicated at first, because of lack of feedback and tutorials.
