Okay, so first of all. Brilliant idea! One of the most unique ideas I have seen so far.

But holy,  the movement is hard. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because I can really see this becoming an awesome rage platformer. The art is also really cool.

Good job!

Funnily enough this game reminded me of qwop due to the multiple key input system. I really enjoyed the art style, and mechanics. I think it really stuck to the theme nicely and had very good variety.

Developer

i'm glad! we decided on the keybinds being that way to emulate controlling a mech that you kinda just cobbled together, so that's great if it's giving qwop vibes haha

Yeah. I meant it in the best way possible, not in the frustrating to control way.

This is one of the first games I've played that really captures the theme. The mechanic is cool, I like the restriction to 90 degrees of movement. It would be nice to be able to see which way the rotator blocks would turn visually, since sometimes I forget. I liked this one a lot.

Developer

that is very kind of you! and that is a great suggestion

I enjoyed it quite a good fair bit, it's just challenging enough to where it feels like it you can beat it with just enough times and everything is just slightly annoying (in a good way) enough to keep you on your toes. The game also gives off this strange feeling that it can be "speedran" with the right build.

Hitboxes however are a bit janky at times and sometimes the camera feels a bit too zoomed in? but apart from that considering the time it was made in it is very good and nice!! would recommend.

Developer

thanks for your comment!!! i'm glad it clicked for u :D

I really sucked at this game (a few meters up maybe), but I liked it nonetheless!

Building your own custom robot is really fun, controlling it also but a bit more tense. Ideally, I would have loved an accessibility option where rocks don't disappear because in the current state it's clearly way above my skill level.

Very polished and promising though, great job!

thanks for giving it a shot!!! one tip i have is that it helps a lot to think about how you orient your hands before you grab, because that'll dictate the way you can rotate next. i'm glad it seems polished, we put effort into making it feel nice :D

Very fun mechanics, remind me of “Bad Piggies”. But it’s not an easy game, could start with a default build so new players won’t be too confused about what to do.

i played so much bad piggies as a kid it was totally somewhere in the back of my mind while making this. thanks for review !!!!

This is a neat concept, although I'm not very good at it, most of my creations couldn't get higher than the first couple of rocks.  But the building part was fun enough that I do want to come back later and try a little more.  I do kind of wish that the joints/grabbers had fixed buttons so I didn't have to re-figure out controls every run.

Developer

thanks for the play!!! admittedly, it is a little hard…
