Made it to Floor 5. I like watching other people play these types of games, not actually playing them xd
I think the execution is great, and this could have a steam release. I think it's just that good. But the audio quality needs some work, some sounds were hurting my ears.
Thanks for playing, floor 5 is really good! I could release it on Steam with a few months of work indeed. Atm I'm working on a game already, but maybe I'll went back to this later. I did this for one of my older GMTK jam game actually, it sold poorly by it was fun to do :)
Simple but well made! Gameplay feels smooth, art looks decent. Good job!
Very fun and creative. I wish it was just slightly easier, I feel like half the fun is taking risks and attempting higher jumps when the time is getting short, but each piece of the tower seems like it has the "correct" way to scale it and I keep messing up if not going exactly by the book. I feel like grabbing onto ledges is a bit too punishing at the moment, maybe slightly increasing the effective area for grabbing?
Congratz for a great submission!
Thanks for playing! I 100% agree with you, and actually changed that already for a post jam version. That's on me for not playtesting enough before submitting.
Really neat concept, equal parts fun and infuriating haha! It took a bit to get a hang of the controls but as soon as it clicked, it was really fun! Nice job!
This was a lot of fun, and very satisfying when you get a hang of the jumping. I really like that the difficulty scales over time as well.
I think my que of games were just filled with bangers because this was great and I have to say one of the most fun to play. I found myself actually really enjoying the climb once I got a fill for how far the player is launched. The moving windows were dirty :-P. I got to floor 7.
Thanks for playing! Congrats on making it to floor 7, I think that's my best as well.
I get it... SCALE the tower! :D
Love the idea, and the animation are really smooth! Probably one of the best I played so far
Hard. but fun. Good work!
The overall experience is super smooth and simple yet very engaging (i didn't not expected that) so very cool !!
If you port this to Android/iOS, I'm sure it will become very popular! Great game.
Very good game play, simple and understandable! Had a great time playing!
What a great game. The music and sound effects were just perfect! Loved the style, loved the graphics. I played this one a long time. Such a great game!
god, this game is so well done !
Polish is amazing (love the arm getting "angry" on full force !)
The loop is realy chalanging, learning curve is perfect, the timer that resets in between with the extra time is realy clever !
Made me feel again the Jump King vibes !
Realy great work, a 5/5 on my side !
I'm glad you liked it! It was indeed one of the game I had in mind when thinking about the mood.
Quite a fun climbing experience!
Love the music, simple but addictive gameplay loop. Nice one!
Loved the art and music of it! Very fun game, congrats! Reminded me of Getting Over It when I missed the last jump and had to start all over again hahaha
Fun little idea, the sfx were weird but kind of worked. The grab timing was a little unforgiving it felt like, would love to see more depth to the game rather than just an ever increasingly tall tower
Really fun game, enjoyed the music a lot. The wind mechanic was a fun way to change up the game flow, nice work
Nice concept. I loved the weird music and the style of the game, but it does feel a bit hard to get the grab timing right.
Sometimes the character felt like it moved way too quickly to grab a ledge (particularly if it was close to you). Having a bullet-time ability would have made that less frustrating, but understand it takes away from the difficulty a bit.
Thanks for the feedback! My intent was to force players to use both the aim and the strength of the jump correctly so that they reach the apex of the jump right on the ledge, which makes the grab easy (passing by a ledge super fast is intended to be hard, cause you already messed up the jump probably). Now I think this would have still worked with a larger grab range, and especially easier level design overall.
