How does your game fit the theme?
Platformer that takes place on a top down overworld map. The buildings are miniature scale especially compared to the dragon (who has scales, even if they are not visible trust me) player character.

The artwork is consistent, cute, and I think fits nicely with the genre of game you're going for. I did think it was an odd choice to have the map be a top-down perspective when the character is jumping towards the top of the screen and falling towards the bottom. It gives the impression that gravity is pulling everything south instead of down, or this village was built sideways on a cliff face. I agree with jnttzck that it was difficult to discern what was a platform I would be able to stand on, and what was just decoration, which is definitely not what you want in a game where missing a jump could mean losing tons of progress. I also agree that making a rage game for a game jam means most people won't see most of what you've made.

The controls for gliding and charging the jump feel a bit weird, but I get that you were going for a Jump King type of game. Also, I don't find it very clear what is part of the background and what is a platform. The style is cute and overall the game has appeal, while, in my opinion, being way too difficult for a jam game. This way, most reviewers will only see a fraction of what you have made.

It is very cool!! it's difficult, but because of that, it's even more interesting

Had some difficulties with controls as well but you clarification made it easier to play. Love the art and colors, very balanced. Keep up the good work!

I couldn't quite understand the controls :'( but it is a very cute game!

thx! For anyone else having trouble with controls: you can hold down jump to charge your jumps height, and if you’re holding a direction you will jump that way. You can press and hold the jump key again to glide, which you also need to hold a direction key for. That should be about it.
