Nice game + upgrades, great job! I really want to see more jam games of you!

Nice game! Some jumps were really tricky, but didn't feel undoable.

I found the controls a bit floaty, but I think that was mainly because of when you land, you can still slide a bit. I think that when you stand still immediately after you land, it would feel a lot tighter.

The tileset is very small and repetitive, but I actually like that a lot. It gives the game a sort of retro vibe.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that the small slide can definitely take getting used to, if I were to continue to project I’d probably change the slide, or add more easy levels to get the player used to it.

This is your first game jam??? Incredible. Controls, gameplay, and theming is fantastic! Our game is also about climbing up real high so I'm loving seeing all the others!

Developer

Thank you! I enjoyed playing your game, cool idea!

This game is awesome! I love the upgrade system, the platforming is surprisingly tight, and the level design is really good. I love when you see a jump that looks impossible, but somehow you manage to do it. It feels awesome. My only complaint would be that since the game is set up as a race to scale the mountain, I thought there would be an enemy robot that you can actually see to race. But it doesn't make the game any less fun. Great Job!

Shhhh, there are no plotholes

First off, congratz on finishing your first ever game jam!!

I had a ton of fun with this mini precision platformer! There were tons of tricky setups in there, and of course that pure vertical wall right near the end stands out as a particularly fun setup! The controls felt surprisingly tight, just really solid movement in this one overall. The upgrade choices felt good too (And I'll be honest, I had zero regrets taking the extra flags right off the bat :p).

So yeah, hope y'all keep jamming in the future, cause this was really fun! :)

Thank you! I’ll definitely be trying more jams in the future, had a ton of fun with this one.

At first I thought the high movement speed would mess up the precision of the platforming, but it turns out the platforming in amazingly tight. Also the ability to choose your upgrades adds amazing depth. Quite the platformer gem.

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the feedback!
