Great visuals and great sound work! Quite impressive for 48 hours! The core mechanic was a nice interpretation of the theme. I found it particularly fun when squeezing through small spaces, less so when platforming in larger spaces. Maybe the focus could be more on having a larger default size and navigating through small pipes, possible puzzle potential there. Maybe a more immediate/intuitive way of scaling the different axes could be to use another set of directional inputs (e.g. IJKL) or to hold some modifier button and use WASD. I wonder given the nature of the controls whether the punishing setbacks incurred from falling suits this game.
Definitely develop this further!
The way everything combines is really interesting the fact you can make a giant block by switching axis twice.
I like the way it looks. Simple but nice. The BGM fits perfectly. The player controller feels smooth. Puzzles are intriguing. Overall great game.
While the interpretation of the theme was a fairly common one, the execution is done pretty well IMO! The scale to jump mechanic works really well, but more importantly I want to point out the excellent level design. Once I figured out the scale-jump and went hopping across the platforms in the first room, I fell at the last one back to the bottom. I was annoyed that I had to do it again.. till I noticed the elevated path to the left of the starting area.. which I could now access with my scale-jump and went right back to the next area. Nicely done!
This was pretty fun, made me use a surprising amount of brainpower haha, overall pretty darn fun, really like the fact that you could choose the growth/shrink axis!
I like how scaling was used to add mobility to the character, scaling was a bit slow and I didn’t exactly catch on to resetting scale to go higher, although that was a very cool mechanic. Visual style is good and I like the music and how the sound effects got lower with your scale.
a beautifully designed game! slightly reminds me of "Thomas was alone" in the best way possible. the idea of scaling not only height, but also width was a genuine "woah" moment for me when i played the first time. very nice work :)
Thanks a ton!! I Love "Thomas was alone" so it was a huge inspiration for the look and feel :)
I liked how the character moves, this is a clever interpretation of the theme.
Lovely short game, satisfying controls. also liked the flip/rotation mechanic! it's unique!
Keep up the awesome work! ^^
Thank you! Thats what I was going for! As satisfying as possible LOL
loved the atmosphere and mechanics
Thanks a bunch!
I love the mechanic. Kinda reminds me of Thomas was alone with the art. Great work.
Thank you! Yeah the aesthetic was heavily inspired from "Thomas was alone" :)
Really good ! Love it, one of my favorite game of the Game Jam. I might have missed the part where it explains that "F" rotates your cube ^^'
Thanks a lot!! I do think the tutorial could be a bit more extensive or a controls menu cause that seems to me a common things to miss LOL
Game is great. The shadow and visual style is awesome. Could have a bit more playtime though I guess
Thanks! I would've loved to add more levels but 48 hours went by so fast LOL
