This was a surprisingly compelling game for how simple the gameplay loop was! I think I encountered a bug, though - I had 5 on the left scale and 2 on the right scale left near the end, but the game let me wager 3 coins despite selecting the right scale, and being correct made the dynamite explode even though at that point it should have been impossible to have a differential of +/-6. I would play again to try to finally win, but it's late here and I probably shouldn't indulge my gambling urges again when I should instead consider making up some of that game jam sleep debt, ha.
Thanks for pointing that out! I'll check out the logic in it. That was a system that just "magically worked" the first time around, and as we all know, when something sounds too good to be true...
It just occurred to me that I'm very stupid, and 5 is 6 bigger than -1. So the bug was just that I was allowed to wager 3 coins, not the exploding. It was a very poor decision on my part to wager those 3 coins to see what would happen, haha. I did get the left side down to only 2 coins in an earlier game, and that time it didn't let me wager 3 coins, so it's possible it's just one side that isn't making that check. It's probably not an easy game condition to test, given the randomness of the game!
The game has incredible ambience, the sound effects really contribute towards that. Succeeded on my don't remember what'th attempt (took 19 rounds). Also, love the humor. Poor Man's leaderboard let out a good chuckle.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Excellent game, unfortunately I 'slploded, but I had a lot of fun playing russian roullete but with scales and coins :)
Haha, yeah, I 'sploded! Was getting close to the end too! Great idea and execution. Probably glad I wasn't at work with the sound effects though. Great job!
Haha yes, that's a great point. Thank you.

Dang man RIP. :(
I love the concept! It was frustrating at times being forced to get it incorrect to stay balanced, but that was part of the strategy. Great art and music as well, just wish I was able to turn it down. Appreciated the How to Play section as well.
Thanks! I appreciate it, especially about the art, because that is not my forte! Good point about the volume...I didn't even consider that!
Love your art direction it's all very cohesive. The music was pleasant as well. I find it a tad annoying in a lot of games.
PS: I exploded
Thanks! I'm very relieved the art came off as at the very least passable. It was an "I'll deal with that later" problem until it became an, "Oh I need to deal with this NOW" problem lol.
Firstly, I love Beethoven's 7th Symphony as the stakes grow larger, really fits the feel of the game! Secondly, very simple concept and easy to understand, really had a blast playing it!
Thanks, I appreciate it. Yeah, that song has been stuck in my head for a while now. Putting it in here was my attempt at excorcising it from my brain.
The plan hasn't worked yet, and in retrospect was an awful idea for achieving that goal 🤔.
"I know how I'll forget this song... I'll listen to it 70 more times this weekend."
Cheers!
