I love the idea behind the controls! It's very creative and a good take on the theme. I did feel like either the collision detection didn't feel quite accurate or the sword wasn't going exactly where I was aiming, so it felt a tad random at times, however, with that said I managed to get to wave 29 and loved the enemy variety and presentation!
Tiny bit of juice and I could see this being addictive as hell too.
Fantastic work :D
really nice controls, keep it up even after the game jam!
Controls feel great! Loved playing it and looks nice! Especially for 24 hours, this is quite impressive. Well done!
This is super fun. The controls feel very smooth and everything just feels very polished. It’s nice to see that we took a similar idea in our games and went in fairly different directions! Really nice job!
fun game, good sound design, and visually nice to look at
Really liked this game ! super silly, it was very frantic at the end which i really liked. Sometimes it felt like my attacks weren't connecting which was a little frustrating, but that's a minor thing. It became super difficult at the end which i liked, it curved out really well. Great entry !
while the game suffers from some hitbox problems, overall it was quite the fun playthrough, firstly the Idea is quite creative so well done, the visuals are nice and give a good vibe to the game, the sound department is quite good too, with just a little bit more of polish this game would have been a perfect experience! my only small complaint is that the game lacks a bit more feedback when stuff is hit and the like, but overall, a solid entry and I would totally play more of this in a more expanded form, great work!
cool game, i liked the idea, though its a bit hard to aim exactly, its pretty fun for a few minutes, but if you want to make it more enjoyable adding powerups, harder enemies, bigger arenas, diffrent swords and knights, you would have a killer mobile game that i'm sure would attract thousands, the idea is simple and perfect for a mobile release
Thanks! I already added a focus/time slow ability you can charge up by hitting bullets with your sword (a.k.a. the real protagonist) which will be available post-jam!
Solid game! The visuals and sounds made the action very satisfying, and it was fun flinging the soldier around the field. Would be cool to see this expanded, maybe with power-ups or an expanded score/combo meter, but other than that this was super good!
Woah. I didn't expect that you can parry bullets like Genji.
Great!
Fun game! The controls are fun and I like the art and audio :)
Enjoyed a lot the arts and the sound effects. The gameplay was good but controlling the player with the mouse it's really difficult but fits the theme in a cool way. Enjoyed a lot the great variety of enemies that were in the game. Good job.
The combat system is punishing but fluid and has a really smooth feel to it. The music is great and the art is also soothing. Good work!
Controls are really fun! I mean it doesnt like reaallyyy fit the theme in my opinion but that's totally fine.
I really liked this entry, the concept felt unique and the gameplay was satisfying. Some QOL things would be nice, like an indicator of the required velocity to deal damage, or a way to tell when you aren't able to block something (I noticed that running through multiple bullets sword first would only deflect the first, so there appears to be some sort of cooldown). Also, I'm unsure if its just that I'm bad but the sword hitbox seems smaller than the sprite.
After a couple runs I got decently far in though, love me a good bullet hell.
There is no cooldown, and the sword hitbox is intentionally small, but I did notice that the player hitbox was too large and fixed it post-submission. An indicator would be nice, surely. Thanks for the feedback!
Fun idea and the sounds and visual effects are really snappy and satisfying!
I really really love this control system.
Fun and Nice Game!!
I really really really like to control the mansword goood job
very fun game, if the screen shook when you killed things it would be perfect
This entire thing felt like a fever dream, in a good way. It's weirdly satisfying.
