Really impressive!
Maybe... gameplay can be improve. I think environment little empty.
Wow graphics are simple but so good!
The game looks and feels so good! The visual style is simple yet beautiful, the music choice is nice, and the gameplay feels just right! It did caught me off-guard that patrol people cannot push you, you you still collide with them when you go into them. Other than that, I would love to see more levels and mechanics being implemented. I see that you have a blinking laser beam, but I did not see you use it anywhere on the map as an actual obstacle.
Your game is well-polished and executed. I love the cutscene at the beginning, cute and simple, helps me quickly understand the background and goal of the thief. I choose the medium mode but it is still challenging for me to take back the wallet. Great level design and great art style! Really enjoyed it!
I like this comic at the beginning. The gamepad controls are good.
It seems to me that the rooms in this museum are too spacious?
I like how the guards stop me. arrrrgh
Thank you for your feedback :)
Yes, we will fill a bit more the scene for the futur :)
Guard can be frutrating! lol
We will try top improve the contact with guards to limit this type of situation!
Really cool idea! Love the audio design and the feedback! Great work!
Seen some other takes on a reverse stealth game but this one definitely the most enjoyable. Such simple but fun premise
The idea is really simple but you did it well was really fun to play ! Also the art is very simple but it works well.
A simple and effective game!
Really interesting twist on the stealth genre and the art is spectacular!
Impressive art and the gameplay overall is great! Really only things I'd change is resetting guard positions on restart so the player doesn't need to wait for them to get back. Maybe also make guard hitboxes a bit smaller as I've dashed into them quite a lot, but maybe that's just skill issue on my part
Simple idea. Awesome execution. Mechanics are introduced very well and the game feels overall polished. Great stuff!
Nice concept! The levels are creatively designed and fun to play. Also, new mechanics are introduced really well. The difficulty needs some balancing at times, but it's a great entry nonetheless. Would love to see a post-jam version of this!
Love the art, and seems very polished for the short time of the Jam. Could use a more "happy" music, I think it would have fit better the game style.
Also, I forgot I had a Dash, maybe add a reminder during the first part of level?
Well Done!
So far the best game I've played in this Jam.
The idea is absolutely amazing and is really intersting to play. It's somehow a normal stealth game but it focuses far more on the gameplay aspect because of the difficulty of staying in eyesight. This i8s such a good and faithfull twist on the formula that it really gets me in the mood of playing normal stealth games or even making something with a simmilar concept. And I just absolutely adore things that give a genre a unique twist while still making me want more of the original genre too.
There's also the way the game plays around with level designs to keep it interesting. I didn't expect that from a jam game and reminded me how much I love trying to keep engagement through unique level design. Only issue I'd have here is that I personally don't like the laser bars introduced at the end, their instantness just makes it feel too different from stealth for me.
The visual presentation is also just an absolutely perfect extra on top. the game is extremely easy to read and understand.
Really interested in seeing more levels.
(Also unimportant "glitch" I experienced: I could only dash into cardinal directions and up-right, the other combo-directions weren't possible to me, I've been using the arrow keys, when I tested it out on WASD it did work fine, so it might just be my keyboard not liking that combi of letters)
Thank you very mush for your feedback!
Indeed, we can rethink the laser which deviates slightly from the original gameplay.
Charming and well made premise.
Also, taking "Please look at me, I'm undoing my misdeeds" to a whole new level.
I really liked the concept of this one, really solid idea and execution! I really liked the limited color palette art style. The movement felt really nice. Solid entry, looking forward to seeing if development of this continues!
Nice job. I would focus on making the game funnier and add more mechanics.
It took me some time to figure out that there was more in the first level if you go down but aside from that, I liked the game. The dashing was a fun mechanic and the reverse stealth was a very creative idea. Well done!
Thank you! Yes, the game needs a tutorial, but we didn't have the time to put one in (even though it was essential)
Hi!
I like the idea and I think it is well delivered to the player. The walk speed is great and I find it very cool with the darkening of the screen when in the dark. It gives a stressful but fun experience.
I did though not really understood the meaning with the different difficulties and got lost in the end of the first level when I came to the book. So maybe look over how easy to understand the subjects is and try to balance it with maybe hints or maybe some sort of slowing down the "eye meter" when coming to a new section in the beginning (With triggers or something).
But all in all, great potential and fantastic design! Love the beginning!
I hope this opens to a itch game page so I can follow the development process if you wanna expand the idea because I think you have something real cool on your hook! And that this was possible in 48 hours is just amazing, did you even sleep??!
Well, fantastic done and keep it up man!
Thanks for the feedback! We're going to continue to improve the game with the feedback we get :) Indeed we didn't get much sleep, but that's all part of the game jam lol
Haha awesome! I look forward to the updates! Have a great one!
Hi! Long time no see.
In general, I would say this game looks amazing and its concept is great, but there are a few things I feel like could be changed about its execution, although some of these aren't exactly applicable to the game jam setting. First of all, I understand that its a minimalist art style, but when the game revolves around staying in the dark while that 'dark' is just pure white in the game feels a bit unintuitive. I personally really like the difficulty level of the game, it makes it a bit challenging to complete, but with its simple controls quite easy to pickup. However, in certain levels, it can get quite annoying to have to wait for the guards to go to a certain point before continuing although whether to address that is your choice. The sound effects are spot on for this game I feel like, they complement nicely, but don't take away from the minimalism, but the music feels a bit to cinematic for the style. One more thing is that if you do decide to further work on the game, it could be beneficial in my opinion to push more into the museum theme as right now it does feel a bit more like a top-down platformer(? if you get what I mean), where the theme of robber doesn't really affect things that much. In conclusion, I love the art style of your game and its concept, but in certain areas I feel like they could be made to be more compatible together. Good luck on your submission! :D
Thank you for all your detailed and pertinent feedback! :)
There's still a lot of polishing to be done to improve the quality of the game.
I think we'll continue to improve the game once the game jam is over :D
