Cute game, art is really fine, and it was a well executed theme!

I really like the concept of this. The AI was hit or miss for me, though---sometimes it would behave realistically, and sometimes it would refuse to move anywhere and just sit around getting bored. What you've made is quite impressive overall!

Developer

The AI has a limited range! If there's nothing nearby for it to pathfind to it'll just stand around.

Probably should've tried to make that more obvious to the player.

That makes sense, thanks for letting me know!

that was a really cool idea. I think some puzzle elements can make the game more fun

Really nice idea, I enjoyed playing that. I like that the map is pretty big and there are many options where to make new ways. :)

Great art! Had a similar idea to the boredom meter that was scrapped, so really cool to see someone else employ the concept. Think this game could easily be expanded to include other meters like frustration or knowledge that would add a lot more depth. Awesome work :)

Surprisingly good! Could use some music and sounds, and maybe a little bit of particles for hits on the player and enemies.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We had planned to have damage numbers show up for attacks, but we ran out of time haha

Brilliant, one of my favourites so far. I'm really impressed by the AI of the little dungeoneer.

Developer

Thanks so much! I actually ended up writing the pathfinding algorithm from scratch because I couldn't figure out how to use Godot's built in stuff for it ^^

Very good for a first jam!

It's an interesting concept trying to balance getting him to fight, enticing him in different directions and managing his resources. Would definitely look forward to having more options for terraforming (Placing doors, switches etc) to keep the "player" engaged. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We had planned to have options for placing gold etc to help lure the player to different areas, but unfortunately we ran out of time! I think it actually worked out quite well though personally, since the limited amount of gold in the map adds some strategy :)

The art is good and the AI seems to be able to find it's way along the dungeons pretty well. Great first jam.
