Really cool game! I loved the art and I loved the use of the theme. I ran into a bug where after the taxes were collected dialogue windows wouldn't open up and the game softlocked, but still pretty cool game!

Interesting take on the theme and fitting art.

Neat take on the the theme.  I like the idea of balancing resources to get gold or give out quests.

The quests currently don't seem to have a level recommendation so it's a gamble whether a traveler will succeed or not. Showing some sort of percentage of success would also help the player make proper decisions. Also, you can only interact with each traveler once. You never know what the traveler wants before you have to give it(and you may not even have the resource at that moment). I think the player should have the chance to accept or deny the request after seeing it.

I think this is a pretty solid entry with lots of chances to expand. Good job!

The higher the level, the better are the chances. Simple as!

Fun take on the theme, RIP to all the noble warriors I sent to their death to retreive my macguffins ;_;

The game is pretty charming and I like how you have to balance your resources to progress. The tax collector bug did happen to me, but things happen, it's okay. It's a relly nice game and you did a good job!

Loooove the cute art-style, suuper well done! :D

I like the idea - but progession is slow if you can only interact with each traveller once - why not sell beer and send them on a quest

Also they collected taxes and at the same time a Quest was finished and that bugged out the dialog system

I like the idea, it could definitely be expanded on. I don't think I finished any quests but unfortunately that didn't really matter because of the tax collector bug. If this helps, there was another visitor who got stuck on the counter before that as well.

I really liked the idea and the gameplay loop was executed pretty well, but the player needs more information. Not knowing how much taxes are is frustrating when they arrive. not knowing how much the reward will be is frustrating. not knowing what services the traveler wants (bed, food, beer) is frustrating. I think if you addressed these things youd have a great game on your hands!

Being thrown in without context was a little stressful. I've seen multiple quest-giving games so far, and a common problem seems to be a lack of game mechanical knowledge to make informed decisions on what to do. It did softlock after the first wave, but that was expected.

Assigning dragon quest to a level 1 feels so wrong but funny. Lol. Great job!

This was similar to an idea that we had early on. Glad to see that someone made it!

The bug after the tax collector came kinda bummed me because I wanted to keep playing!

The music is lovely! And the sprites are great! I really liked the shadows of the trees moving around! Great work!

Well executed idea! The people coming in could be a bit faster and the tavern also looks a bit depresing haha. anyway I enjoyed this. I would play this if it was refined and expanded (btw later on, one of the warriors came in and didnt give the text pop up and the game got stuck)

Fantastic Game! I enjoyed strategically giving out quests to others while trying to survive the horrifying IRS of the medieval ages. I am genuinely interested in how you can expand this concept further even though as you probably know by now there is a bug that prevents you from playing further at some point. Very nicely done, Good Job!

The idea is pretty cool and the gameplay is fun. I think i had a bug where the npcs come to the tavern but it didn't start a conversation. But until then i was having a good time!

I liked it, it kept getting stuck after the first time I payed taxes so I couldn't get farther than that, but it was fun being the quest giver for once.

This was pretty cool, I like the idea of looking at the travelers and trying to figure out which ones would be suited to each quest. Would be cool to see this expanded with more complicated conditions and different kinds of adventurers etc. A couple bugs I encountered, I got softlocked after the tax collectors came and had at least one other time where one traveler wouldn't leave the desk.

Like the idea of giving quests.

I found the balance of the resource management a little easy never ran out of any reasources, not sure if it gradually gets harder. A recomendation i have is to make the quest hand outs depend on the adventures level so a higher level adventurer will be more likely to defeat the quest but will charge want more as a reward otherwise, because I found myself sending all the higher level adventures on quests.

I also I ran into a bug, after the taxes were collected I coulded interact with the adventures, no dialog box would appear. I played trough twice and same thing happened each time.

But overall great game, well executed, and with a good level of polish for a 48 hour Jam.
