Really cool idea that's fun and I think has a lot of potential. The biggest issue that I came across is that frequently when I died, I didn't really know why or what exactly happened, but I think this could be solved with a little more work on how the enemies' attacks are communicated and telegraphed to the player. Overall, really cool game, just needs some more polish.

The AI is surprisingly complex! I think you could also make it so that eating monsters replenishes HP/Energy

Developer

thanks for the compliment! Eating monsters does recharge the energy on a per bite basis, at least it should be doing that for you haha.

The concept is nice, but actually killing enemies with the stealth mechanics is very difficult with the way the levels are laid out. Once an enemy is focused on you, it seems almost impossible to transform back into your chest form to kill them.

yea it is definitely not easy, we would have liked to tune the game to be a bit easier. While the monsters still have “!” Or “?” Above their head they will still recognize and attack you even when stealth. This lasts for about a second after they reach the last point they saw you.
