I like the duck. I see many duck games this jam.
Hi, I’m on a mission to play all the “duck” games of the jam!
We had a very similar idea. I like your interpretation and your own art style for duck hunt. It’s very playful. I’m not quite sure how to survive against the hunter, but it was a fun experience nonetheless.
And that’s one lucky chicken duck!
i wish i had an extra hour to change the difficulty and tweak the hunter parameters as the levels go by like your game does. at first it was very easy but my second iteration was quite challenging. what made it into the game is a blend of both algorithms.
Love how the duck looks and the audio. Great job
Nice art! Challenging game.
What a cute art-syle! Love love loveeee it! :D
thanks for playing!
I got some problems with the webgl version, but cool game nonetheless
thanks, yeah it's a bummer.
Very nice! Some general webgl trouble needing reloads here and there (not an easy thing to debug, no judgement here) but when it was running I had fun. At times I thought it was too easy, and usually that's when it would snap to me with the fastest headshot I'd seen yet. Made me think of taking the gun right to the screen when I got tired of losing in the original game lol
hah! thanks for playing! yeah, the AI was not very balanced. sometimes it would just shoot me immediately on round start.
Simple, but quite nice! Just had a little bit of difficulty at first understanding whether I was actually doing alright or not. Turned out I was doing pretty alright for a first try. However, besides that don't have much to complain. Nice work!
thanks for the feedback and i'm glad you like it! yeah i wish the crosshair didn't jump to the player immediately when starting the round, it should give you a countdown to run away.
difficult
yeah it is frustrating and i wish i had more time to balance the AI.
The Game Is Nice And Feels Nice To Play... It Might Be A Bit Too Difficult For Me :D
haha, at first the enemy AI was too easy so I made it harder. i'll have to work on finding a balance.
Fun little game, I love the goofy duck art.
thanks for playing, glad you liked the duck
Well done, very simple but polished
thanks for playing!
Ghe ghe ghe. Really nice take on the theme. The duck and animations are fun as hell. Great job!
glad you enjoyed the duck!
This game had me quacklin'
funny idea
thanks for looking!
Nice art, very creative to make a game where you play as a duck!
thanks! i'm pretty sure this is the first game that allows you to play a duck. truly revolutionary if i say so myself. :)
Really like the Twist on being the duck in Duck Hunt. Really like the unique take on the Duck Hunt art style to make it your own. Was a bit too easy for me and was hoping to see some unique gameplay twists as the duck but like the concept! Good job!! P.S. The game crashed in browser but likely just a browser/WebGL thing.
i'm actually glad it was easy for you because there was some odd crosshair behavior where it would shoot you immediately when the level begins. but not happy about the crashing. I haven't done much research into why, but the player movement performs very differently in unity vs. webgl. specifically, the player's movement in-browser is very slow. i used Rigidbody2D forces to move the player, i wonder if there's some cross-compatibility issues with this.
When I first started I got shot but once I got the groove, it wasn't too hard. And yea, the crash could be anything. Unity and WebGL has a grand ol' time breaking itself. haha. Honestly could have just been my browser.
