How does your game fit the theme?
The game fits the theme because it plays araound the concept of role reversal in a bullet hell like game, where instead of trying to avoid getting hit, we are the ones aiming to hit the "player" character.

The lasers are a little bit hard to control.

However it's fun and the AI works really well.

Good job !

What a fun little game! I love games where you get to "spam" something to achieve stuff, and this hits right that spot
Maybe i'd just add a bit more of a feedback when the dot actually takes damage, but aside from that it's small but absolutely a full package, good entry!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Great entry the movements for the beams and dots is so smooth!!

How did you make the ai for the dot so smooth?

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! The way I made the ai work is by setting a target position for the dot to move to for every frame. When a beam is shot, it will shift this target position based on the direction of the beam and how close it is to the dot, and after that I used unity's SmoothDamp function to smoothly change the dot's position towards this target position, and tinkering with the parameters a bit to achieve a smooth looking movement.

And with the random movement when idling make it look so convincing and good! amazing work! And thank you for sharing!!

Pretty neat game! Dot's ai plays this game pretty well, it was pretty smooth. Some sort of cooldown on skills could be nice though, it was pretty easy when spamming them. But I had fun anyway, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! The ai part is where I spent most of my time on making, so I'm glad that people liked it. I also did plan on giving a sort of short cooldown timer for the skills, but ended up not doing it because I ran out of time, haha.

Beat the game in about 15 seconds lol! would be cool to see some more levels, nice little concept here

At first I was frustrated because the dot was so illusive, then I realized I could mash the skill keys in combination with the basic attack for ultimate chaos.

I defeated the dot!

visuals are simple yet cohesive, a fun short little concept, could easily be expanded upon into a full game :]

Well Done!

Developer

Thanks for playing my game! I'm glad you liked it!

I had to come back and read the description to understand the relation to the theme. I guess it counts, lol. I'm noticing a lot of submissions rely on an AI controlled player, and my unfinished one did too. I didn't expect that theme to basically instead be a "create a player AI" challenge.

It was pretty easy to beat just by trapping it in with spam and cornering it, but to have it dodge the other patterns that well as well as here and there lines, that's pretty good.

I think the idea could be fun if it was Touhou/danmaku/shooter style boss patterns, but you might not have a lot of control then, so I'm not sure how that'd be made to work well.

The game runs as a .exe file which is not compatible with macos or linux. Your game looks cool but i can't play it sorry!

Developer

Ah, that's my bad then, sorry!

And thanks for telling me, I'll update the description for now.
