Quite a fun idea! I liked the music too!
Nice idea! I think the base for the game has strong core features, it just needs some iterations to make it shine.
As it was hard to make right decisions in time, I used a hacky strategy to reach the tower => put two tiles that make the character go back and forth, and then draw a path until the tower. and when my path is done, I replace one tile of the loop by another tile that makes the character continue ^^ What would you think of waiting the player for making a choice before moving the character?
I can see that player's character is moving way to fast, though i like the idea of giving player some adrenaline rush by limiting time and resources, you need to act fast and makes the best out of what you have which pressures mistakes but also adds some excitement to the game. But ye, I might overdo it, glad you make it to the end
Yeah I see the excitement you're talking about.
It's also possible to have pressure without timing but encountering tough choices in resource management for example. I remember some games of Slay the Spire that were a lot oppressive ^^
Cool game ! I really like the way you control the "player" and the game is cool, just a bit hard because the player moves fast but nice job !
Interesting game but I think the character moves a bit too fast for you to make decisions. Selecting cards can also be a bit of a hassle since you have to move your mouse around so much so quick, I think having hotkeys for the cards would be nice. It would also be nice to highlight cards you can't afford in red so its a bit more obvious. Also a winning strategy is to just get the character stuck in an infinite loop, then build out the track to the exit, and then replace the infinite loop at the end, which is a bit of a lame strategy but a guarenteed win. Other than those minor gripes, its a cool idea with good execution. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you mentioned loops since it was actually an intended idea. I found the concept of creating a loop and chaining certain tiles to maximize their utility to be quite interesting and not an obvious mechanic, but I didn't really have enough time to implement it correctly and prevent exploiting it. Great you noticed it
This was lovely! Really enjoyed the unique take on the build-the-level idea with the cards and fast pace, it made it really intense and fun! Especially enjoy how the music switches and becomes more intense with the game, really nice touch! Great work! :D
I loved the game! Took me some time to get a hang of it but still really cool concept! Thanks for such an amazing experience!
loved the game but it's too fast could be nice to have multiple levels with the game going faster after each one
there is also the play button in the menu i think it should be placed where the controls are and the controls just a bit lower
The randomization and the pre-timed character jumps make for some excellent frantic gameplay! At first I didn't understand the use of having different resource tiles but in the end I understood and enjoyed it a lot.
Really frenetic and fun, also pretty hard but i managed to win after some lucky rng. Well done game!
Would be nice to have some audio feedback for some actions or polishment in general.
Fun and simple, I think that with some polishing and expansion this concept can really shine!
Really fun game, i love the idea of the player making level design instead of the developer
I like the concept, it's fun. The only feedback I can think off is that perhaps it's hard to pull the right cards to progress, but that's a faint issue.
