This is sooooooooo beautiful! The art style is so goood, what??

The gamplay is pretty good too, but I wish there was a bit more feedback! You can continue going with the lvls without much trouble, even if you fail. Also an ending screen wouldv'e been cool (although IK all of this are being worked on for a post-jam patch, so it's no issue!)

Overall tho, I really like it. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for your kind words!

We decided to make it impossible to fail the game because it's a win-win situation nevertheless since either witch or cat will be happy :D But the ending screen will be coming to show the results as promised!

OK I HAVE TO BE HONEST that art IS AMAZING

I understood the rules and how the game its supposed to work BUT i did not understand completely how to play it ahah, i could not solve the levels. The fact is that, the illustration is amazing, wonderful too beautiful, the style of it i love everything of that art. I continued playing even if i was not understanding why i was failing levels. The idea is really cool for a cozy puzzle game, i really liked the sequence solving puzzle idea. We all had little time so it's normal something did not work perfectely, or features missing, just keep working on it it could be a lovely cozy beautiful game! Good luck!

Gorgeous artwork! I will say it was a little unclear on the steps you were supposed to take because several times I thought I'd gotten the formula right, but nothing happened. Love the concept though!

The game looks amazing, I just wish you could replay the puzzles once you failed

Thanks a lot for your feedback! We're very sad that we couldn't add this feature before the clocks ran out but we'll make sure to add it in the post-jam version

Fun idea. The art is lovely and not only because of the cat :p

Love the puzzle part where you have to think "okay what should i not mix into the pot"

Great job !

Developer

What an adorable game filled with amazing art! While the lack of an explosion does make it difficult to understand when you've completed the level,  the fun puzzles and art made it a great experience! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words! We'll make sure to add the explosion in the post-jam version ^____^

the art is truly incredible and the puzles are really enjoyable, something i dont like tho is that there isnt an actual explosion but the witch just looks angry

Developer

Thank you for playing! Unfortunately, we ran out of time so couldn't add an actual explosion but will make sure to add it in the post-jam version along with new levels!

Very good quality art and interesting idea. Although the game doesn't really communicate things to the player, it took time for me to understand the gameplay. I can hear the ideation of this game, probably someone with a cat in your team came up with the idea :)

Developer

Ha-ha-ha, thank you very much! Surprisingly enough none of us have a cat at home but all three of us can't live without causing a little bit of mischief everyday so I guess it was inspired by ourselves :D

Submitted(+1)

That's even better! Mischief is fuel for creation :D

This is great, was a bit confused at first, but then understood the concept. Needs more complex levels though! Nice work.

Great art and style. For me, the recipes (for kaboom) didn't work or maybe I am just a little bit slow.

Thank you!

Wow, the art is absolutely spectacular! I love the concept of this game, it's a shame the jam was so short because with just a little more polish this would be a lot less frustrating. It almost feels like solitaire, where you have to plan a couple moves ahead and really understand all of the recipe components before making any moves.

I see you have plans to add an undo button but I'm not sure that's necessary, and it might remove the puzzle-ish aspect of planning out the level. If you make a mistake it's quick to get into the next round, I like that a lot.

Really glad I played!

Cute little game!

Wow, the art in this game is spectacular. I like how all of the assets work very well together to make a unified theme. Although, I do wish it had a bit more "life" to it via some small animations (I was thinking a low framerate style could fit it nicely) but I know that adding that within a 48 hour time period is difficult.

Having a tutorial that is a wall of text before the game can make it hard to get started and understand how the game works, just having some text that guides the player on what to do for a first few levels can go a long way into actually getting them to understand how the game works.

It is also hard to get through a level when you need to plan out and predict everything you need to do beforehand, especially when there are a lot of changing steps involved. I found myself wanting some form of notepad to write down what I needed to do in order, so I could continue thinking ahead of what I needed without forgetting what I had done. Having some way to reset the level, or maybe even an undo would help a lot with letting players realize their mistakes and go back without having to fail the level outright.

The runes and potion "texture" were a cool way of introducing more levels to the potion making. I think there is room for many other additions too, like maybe the temperature of the pot or what is used to mix it? You could also maybe expand the game to have multiple pots that are being cooked at once and need to be mixed together?

Ideally, you could maybe reach a point to which players know what ingredients do what, and then they could work without nearly as much as the instruction list showing them every possible combination. Having ingredients be a bit more obvious as to what they'll do will help, within the first level a blue bottle makes the potion yellow, which can be confusing.

Overall, nice concept with a great visual style!

I really hope to see an explosion animation in the future :)
