Excellent implementation of the game jam theme. Very good work. I think it would have been better with sound, but otherwise it's a good game. Good job!
Really original idea! The majority of the games swap the role of the player, but you took it next level. Hope to see this idea worked out a lot further with more levels and also multiple swaps per level :)
This is such a great idea!! I feel like there could be a whole game around this idea of swapping objects' behavior, it's an idea with a lot of potential to make puzzles that could be solved creatively in infinite ways.
I think it would benefit from a little bit more visual clarity. When I was presented with a new level I would start scanning my screen with my mouse trying to find the things I can interact with.
This is awesome!! I really like how each level introduces new objects and new mechanics!! Also picking up the new mechanics felt very natural! Great job!
Phenomenal. Great art, animation, mechanics, level design. Love it!
I didn't get any audio (bug?), so some of the effects fell a little flat IMO, but other than that it's an amazing jam entry that nails the theme. Fantastic!
Fun game! The team I was in did a similar concept, but we both ended up going about it in different ways. I think this is a really solid entry!
The level design was creative and I loved the art style, it reminded me of Untitled Goose Game. The only negative thing I have to say is that the game is pretty short, so the level design doesn't have enough time to really spread its wings, but even then what is there is very enjoyable. I'd love to play this again if its worked on more!
This is so niceeeeeee and has so much potential! I would love to see this worked on more, with more content and puzzle ideas! While playing it I was so hooked - the end caught me by surprised, tbh. Looking forward to any update you may make!
Cool concept!
I totally understand the lack of time for designing puzzles. I also made a puzzle game for the GMTK jam in 2020 and I really had to cut scope.
A suggestion would be to have a button to highlight interactable objects in the scene. Otherwise you have to hover your mouse over every pixel in the screen.
I think this can be expanded into a small, full game with each level being focus on some hilarious gimmick like what the golf. Would love to see a post jam version of this.
Played on stream! See the video for timestamp.
I played this shortly after BeSwitched (another game in the jam, if you haven't seen it) - interesting to see two very different takes on a similar mechanic. I think you could take some cues from them in making what things do a bit clearer, but you also got much less time to establish your mechanics, so it's fair to not have gotten there yet. I do like this concept a bit better in isolation - it feels much more chill than BeSwitched. I would also suggest that you highlight objects that can be swapped by default (or maybe have a keybind that highlights all of them?). It was easy to mix up swappable objects and unswappable ones. Don't let all of that feedback discourage you though - this was really a fun game! I liked your puzzles quite a bit, and they were easily replayable when I failed them. The fact that my only issues are with your presentation really speaks to your game design skills.
This is wonderful. Just more of this with more behaviors to swap and experiment with would be awesome. The visuals are excellent too, they remind me of Untitled Goose Game, which seems fitting.
I love this idea, i could really see a bigger version of this having tons of weird sandboxy emergent behaviours. Very neat, though i wish there was some sound design as well.
You've made me want more levels the moment the end screen hit, so you clearly nailed this idea.
The puzzles are very creative, but it doesn't seem like there's a lot of options for "wrong" solutions so you can brute force them as well
Very cool idea and very original. I would've loved to have a bit more music and sounds though because it feels a bit empty. Nevertheless the game feels very polished and the art and mechanics are very well made. Amazing Job !
I’ve seen this game on one of the twitch streams!
I love this games idea. I’ve tried poking around to see if I can push the game to some weird scenarios and it did not disappoint. I figured I can crash the car into a street light by swapping their behaviors while the car is moving. It makes the lamp jump traffic. I only with the game was a little more sandboxy with more interactable objects.
Thank you for this experience!
Despite being so short, this is among my favorite games that I've played so far in the jam!
I would love to see a ton more levels for this, although I imagine that each level Probably takes a big chunk of time to hand-craft. I could easily imagine playing through a full game of these "puzzles", with levels increasing in complexity, and/or having levels that are more like larger sandbox areas with a series of goals, instead of singular ones.
Good luck in the jam, and with any of your future creations!
I absolutely love this take on the theme, it's so creative!
Also so many good levels, wow I really had to think a bit about what to do.
Good job!
Fun and creative puzzles!
This game looks great! nice work!
Fun, creative and looks great! I would've loved some more levels but I get theat there was the time limit. I had a lot of fun and this could be made into something bigger inn my opinion. The only thing this is missing is some sound effects and music.
