Hey, good job on making a jam game.
few thoughts and pointers:
i felt like the 2 players could interact in more interesting ways, a majority of the puzzles felt like "player 1 needs to go to the middle and player 2 needs to go to the middle."
i think having the logic be more like "player 1 needs to get to x so that player 2 gets to y but quickly because player 1 needs to get to z " etc. would be more engaging.
also, i noticed you have a nice cityscape/factory background, what could add a lot of life to the environment is simply adding a bit of parallax scrolling to the background.
Thanks a lot for the feedback! I will definitely implement this in the game!
I liked the idea you have picked here. Did experience some hiccups in level design, which can easily be improved. Wish the environment was more alive as the player is the only moving element most of the time. Nice work for a 48hr jam!
Feel free to hop into my game as well and share your thoughts and ratings if you have the time!
Thanks a lot for the feedback!
I liked the idea, the game mechanics were clearly communicated and easy to grasp. I would work a bit on the level design though. The game played like a typical puzzle platformer but it did not really have any puzzles to solve. In all levels, I just went for the straight and most obvious way until I reached some wall, then switched and went with the other character and this worked for all the levels. I think what this game is missing is some dynamic effect like a switch or something that would change the sign of some platform/wall. Such an element would allow you to build levels which require multiple character switches. Good job on making the gameplay quite smooth without any significant bugs, glitches or nuisances.
Thank you very much for the feedback!!
very nice interpretation of the theme! i thought this game started really well, and it has some nice quality of life features i wasn't expecting, like restarting the level immediately and not resetting the state of the opposite character on death. the levels are nicely designed but i wish there was a slight bit more complexity to them beyond jump pads and death rays. i felt that some of the later levels felt very similar to each other. however, i was glad that i was able to finish the game in the time i played it, meaning the game was not too log as many jam games are.
Thank you very much for the feedback!!
I always enjoy playing a game jam game that I can finish :) I like the level design effort put in here, nice variety of mechanics without being complicated. I also found as others mentioned that you can complete 95% of a given level without having to switch roles. But it was fun to play and solidly built. The silhouette backgrounds look pretty cool too! :D
Oh btw your game was assigned via Review Swap from the Post Jam Productions Server :)
Thank you very much for the feedback!!
I like this game. It's got a solid idea and a bunch of challenges to deal with. I'd love to see the reversal mechanic being used multiple times in one level, so I would constantly need to go back and forth.
Well done team! =)
Thanks a lot!
Nice idea, I can see potential in here for great puzzles. It is definitely enjoyable, maybe a bit too easy
Thank you very much for the feedback!
Some solid ideas :) Would have loved to see slightly more switching required, but definitely well implemented for 48 hrs.
Thank you very much for the feedback!
Concept is interesting, but i feel like you could have gotten a lot more out of it. Still nice work!
Objective is nice and clear. Levels are nice and simple for now. Awesome job!
Thanks for trying it out!!
Good concept. It's kind of easy for me. You did well
Thanks for trying it out!
Fun game concept with cool puzzles. Great job!
Thanks a lot!!
Fun concept! The platforming is basic, but it works well. Great stuff!
Thanks for checking it out!
cool concept for a game, and i think it's pretty unique. the level design could use some work though, it got really repetitive after a while. good job!
Thank you very much for the feedback!
Really cool game! Kind of reminded me of Fireboy and Watergirl. Good level design, and the music is cool too!
Thanks a lot! : D
Hey i had a lot of fun playing and its definitely a cool idea with a lot of possiblities. Nice game! And the music was very funky.
Thanks a lot for checking it out!!
Nice game! some of the levels where just mirrors, so you just had to play the same level twice, but aside from that I like it, great game!
Thank you very much for the feedback!
Fun game and I really like the music!
Thanks a lot!
Game was alright. The music could be a bit better so could the art. The game itself and the level design could also be improved but playing the levels overall was fun. It needs a lot of polish but I could see this becoming a pretty cool game. Good Job !
Thank you very much for the feedback!
The concept is great! The game was fun and it has so much potential, the game has plenty of nice features that gives the platformer many gimmicks and opportunities to be amazing!
I'd recommend exploring the gimmicks that the game gives you. The level design could use some additional work but with more than 48 hours I think that this game can be an amazing one. Overall quite nice though.
Thanks for checking it out and for the feedback!!
