An interesting take on a very simple idea. I liked how replayable it was. The gameplay was extremely basic, but it worked.
Thanks so much for taking the time to play!!
This has absolutely N O right to be so G O O D.... damn. Really ipressive!
THANK YOU SO MUCH ._.;;;;
love the concept and the atmosphere! it could be a goldmine for stories :)
Thank you so much!!! ^^;
Hey, this game is great! I love typing games and this one tackles the mechanics in a very original way. Congratulations! Also, very risky to put story and characters (very well designed by the way!) and it worked great.
Very very cool!!! Good in all sections
We maybe overthought the overarching characters and plot a little bit BUT it worked out! Haha. Thank you so much for taking the time to play!!
wow, i'm so impressed by what you've done!
the art is fantastic and the story is engaging: it defenitely keeps the tension ^^
i couldn't figure out the room at first as the hint is very subtle, as you have already said (dead end helped but i would never got it without knowing where to look) it also feels that there is a bit too much punishment for using the mechanics that actually let you play through the game. i wish i could begin from the point where i stopped and not start from the very beginning :)
and the hand was so scary when it first appeared, i jumped a little haha
one of the most unique entries, i had lots of fun playing and would love to know how the story goes on :D
I'm glad you finally got it!! Thanks so much for taking the time to play! We will 100% be implementing a save feature and/or some sort of dialogue skip when we make it a full game. ^^;;;
Love the idea and execution! The fact that you managed to get some narrative in there is also very impressive for a jam! It would be interesting to see where you would expand it if you worked on it more (branching narrative maybe?) Also nice to see another super natural entry!
If I can make something spooky, I will. Haha! We absolutely have way more branching paths in mind for after the jam. I'm glad you had a good experience. Thanks for playing ^^!!
I love this game! It feels very new and fresh, something I have not play before. I love how I am the spirit trying to communicate and how open ended things can be. I try to figure it out but I can't seem to know where is the will :( I think I just give up afterwards after a few tries, thinking what is a room that has 6 letters, I thought of toilet ahaha. Overall, I love the art style of the game, and how novel the game is. Would love to see this being an actual game, fully fleshed out, with checkpoints!!
Thank you so much for giving it a try!! The clue for the will is a bit more vague than we intended. The hint is that it's location is a "dead end." Again, thank you for playing and for the feedback! We're absolutely hoping to make this into a full game! (Toilet was a good guess. Hahaha!)
Very creative idea! It plays very smooth and the dialogues, art and sounds are awesome. Overall, very cool puzzle game. However, I still need some runs to find out how old I was...
Thank you!! The answer is there somewhere!! haha! ^^'''
Amazing game! The art, the atmosphere and the idea are awesome! I played it until i got the "good" ending (i don't want to spoil anything). Nice job really, i would love to see you take this and make it a longer game. Congratulations!
Thank you so much for taking the time to play until you got the good ending!! ^^;
The art is great for just 48h, normally I don't play this genre of game, but have a interesting hook up.
Thanks for giving it a try!
Really cool game! The art is great, the story is cool and the mechanics are very unique. Loved it!
Thanks so much for the kind words. Glad you loved it!
Great game! Love the gameplay with the ouija board, but would have definitely appreciated a skip intro button!
Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to get a skip button in but ran out of time haha.
Really liked the presentation, and the gameplay is pretty nice. Good job!
Thank you!
Man the art in this game is gorgeous and even though short this game is really well made I LOVE IT. Also I am dying to know what the room was I tried dining, living to no avail and that damn demon hand makes it so much harder. So please include spoilers somewhere?
Thank you!!! We ran out of time for more clue drops and the puzzle is a bit too hard as a result.
All throughout the year a lot of families would use this area of the house as a refrigerator to keep milk, produce, and...meat fresh for longer.I hope that helps! ^^'' Thanks again for taking the time to play!
I'm so glad you love it! To add to the clues, I tried to drop a hint that this room is usually a "dead end" with only one entrance/exit. It's definitely not obvious enough haha. Thank you so much for playing!
Okay I'll give this another go
The concept and art were fantastic! I enjoyed a lot of the story/gameplay, but ran into the same problem most people seem to have done.
I played it through a few times and got to the location question 5 times labouriously. Even with the "dead end" clue you gave I tried a couple of answers that fit that clue and still didn't get it. I don't want to waste my time going through the whole game again to guess again based on a single clue with lots of wrong answers. The age question was a lot more satisfying, even if it was significantly simpler.
The writing was very good - the characters had a fun-to-watch conversation and the medium gave the right amount of praise to the player. It avoided feeling condescending but encouraged me to replay multiple times.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback! It's so helpful. I wanted to add a skip button for the dialogue but ran out of time. I also agree that the hints were way too vague for the room. Excited to improve on these things after the jam!
Thanks for the feedback! You're absolutely on point about the clue; we didn't realize how vague it really was at the time. But I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience regardless!!!
Dang that took me forever!!! I really love the vibe and idea of this game :) Excited to see what it becomes after game jam
Thank you so much for playing and taking the time to get the "good" ending!!!
Lovely submission. Super polished, looks amazing esp. for a 2 day jam, and the idea is a creative and fun one.
Reliability is obviously a big plus. Overall super well done!
Thank you so much for taking the time to play!! ^^;
Ok so. The art is incredible especially for a 2 day jam, i'm an artist and I cannot imagine how Bastian Faulk managed to create so much high quality art in so little time. I hope i can achieve the same super human speed as them (Hope your arms didn't fall off after this).
As for the game, i really like the concept and I LOVED the game... until that damn red hand showed up. I got what i presume is the bad ending since i didn't help them find the will and you can thank that hand for that. I feel like it takes away a lot of the problem solving and puzzle aspects of the game which it feels like it wants to focus on. It's like if you had to do a minigame everytime you wanted to shoot your gun in an fps. Now again, i got the bad ending, so i don't know if that red hand has story relevance but if it does, i'd replace it with a timer for every answer, so the hand shows up and takes over when it's up. You could still use the hand for the story, but they don't limit your capabilities of writing.
Overall a pretty good game but it would be a great, no an incredible game if that hand didn't exist.
I'm currently typing with no arms as we speak!! I also don't know how I created that much art and I was there for it. Haha! ^^;
We're going to address the demon hand difficulty after the jam for sure! Multiple people have struggled with it. We'll most likely implement multiple ways players can shake off or temporarily banish the hand.
Thank you so much for taking the time to play and offering constructive feedback!!!
Thank you so much for the helpful feedback! We will improve this hand mechanic after the jam for sure :)
Well done. Very polished. The demon hand was a bit too aggro though. Couldn't spell that long name backwards fast enough
We went back and forth over the demon hand difficulty in the last moments before the deadline. That's absolutely something we'll be addressing in the future. Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback!!
This was a surprising entry, great job with the design! The character art was also wonderful, well done!
Thank you so much for taking the time to play! ^^'''
