In ComboCowbo you have to reverse platforms in order to control different characters with different abilities. This was my first game jam ever and I had a great time, thank you!

I love the puzzle mechanism, the game art, UI design, and sound effects. All are very polished. Very well done.

Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words!

Really cool level design ! Also just a great concept for a puzzle game, at first I thought it might be quite limited but the levels clearly showed otherwise. Great presentation aswell looks very soft and chewy

Developer

Thanks a lot! Really happy to hear you liked it!

I love this game ! The level design is well thought. And incorporated the theme directly into the game is cool too.

Their are a just a little bug, when I didn’t reach the end of the level with the two characters at the same time, I can’t finish it.

Thank you so much for playing! I'm happy you like it.

This is actually not a bug, but a design failure on my part, sorry! I didn't make it clear enough that both the blue character and the orange character need to go through the gate. From the screenshot I can tell that the blue character already activated the gate on the bottom, hence the orange character needs to activate the other one. This is a tricky situation though, but you can still get out of it :) So I should have made the colors more clear, and I should have prevented this situation from happening this early in the game.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, really appreciated!

Awesome lil puzzle game! Always love the mechanics that involve two characters that do one thing each, and it was very well executed here!

Thank you so much!

Enjoyed a lot the gameplay and the interpretation of the theme. In some levels you really had to think carefully. Well done.

Thank you very much, happy you liked it!

Great little puzzle game, really enjoyed the last level where you had to understand that flipping when the players were on different conveyors lets them skip past stuff, nice work

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm happy you like it, and that you figured out one of the main ways to get your characters where you want them to be! :)

This is a fantastic game, it looks great, and I would have never guessed it was your first. Very well done! This is a perfect puzzle game, I had so many 'Aha!' moments

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing, I'm really happy you like it! It was my first game jam yes, what a great experience :)

Really glad to hear about those aha moments as well, that's what I was aiming for!

Really cool puzzle game !

It took me a couple levels to understand what swapping character did exactly (as in flip the platform you're on + flip the other character no matter the platform) and even after reaching the end I'm still quite unsure how to properly think about the consequences of a swap to find the solution haha.

Though there still were several levels I completed by using brain power instead of swapping about until it works out :)

I tried cheesing it by reaching both gates with the same character but you properly blocked it.

Great visuals, and the tutorial was good too !

Thanks a lot for playing and taking the time to write the feedback!
It has a pretty steep learning curve, my apologies. I tried to show the flexibility of the mechanic in an as short way possible, given the time limit.

Happy that you still enjoyed it though!

Enjoyed it I did !

I think for jam puzzle games a steep curve is better than a shy curve that doesn't get hard enough by the time the game ends.

It's perfectly understandable that it wouldn't have the amount of playtesting and polish a normal puzzle game would, so don't worry about that.

Plus it shows what the mechanics can lead to.

You definitly nailed the looks. Good job on making this game !

I liked the concept and its pretty well suited for your persepective view of 3d . Amazing Game! I Think this is one of the prefect games i played!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing, and I'm happy to hear you think so highly of it!

my first impression of the game was that it looked like fall guys, after playing it, its a enjoyable game and wish there were more

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing my game! Means a lot to me like you feel like playing more of it. I tried to show the flexibility of the mechanic as good as I could with only a couple of levels that I had time for. I'd love to expand the game though.

Really like the take on the roles reversed theme. its a cool puzzle game that even looks polished in a gamejam

Developer

Thanks a lot! I'm happy to hear that you liked it. Yes, it was my first game jam so I decided to keep the scope extra small.

I played your game and it was awesome! It's a cool take on roles reversed. I also made a video (without playing the game before except for moving back and forth on the first level)

Edit: the video looks a bit better on YouTube.
Developer

Wow thank you so much, this made my day! I'm really happy to see you enjoyed the game enough to come back to it and beat the level after all, good on you! Thanks again for investing your time to play and comment!

The idea was very clearly portrayed and the game art was cool. Although, after level 1 I started to spam [Space] and swap which let me ruin my own fun till I be the game.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

It's definitely true. Players need to make the decision for themselves if they want to challenge themselves a bit or not. Not ideal for a puzzler though. Thanks for the feedback!

I feel like with more time this game could have more interesting levels. But for what we have this game is awesome!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I'm really happy to hear you liked it!

Submitted(+1)

Amazing presentation and idea! I guess the only thing I would want would be more because some puzzles I could solve just by spamming R and Space! Still, really good for a game jam! Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing and the review! I could definitely work on the design of the levels, yes. If I continue developing the game I will keep it in mind, thanks!

Pretty chill game I can dig it

Developer

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked the game!

Really good game art, it reminds me of fall guys. It would be nice if you could play it in the browser.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback Muhammad!
