Picking a new defender each round is a great way to make this game challenging. Solid stuff, nice work!
Interesting concept and fun! Absolutely charming artwork!
Great concept, It was on our list as well. Came out really well. Glad you got it done !
Fun game, nice art!
It's a novel twist on space invaders. I really liked the dynamic of choosing what additional defenders will spawn in the next stage, really adds some strategic depth to the game. One addition you might want to consider is a timer for a score multiplier, the faster you land the higher the score. This will give players incentive to play riskier for a higher score rather than wait for an ideal opening between bullets. The art and aesthetics are great and on point! Awesome job!
thanks for your comment! those are nice additions, definitely a timer would make the score have more sense!
Simple and efficient
Hey! Nice idea, interesting twist when you are chosing power ups for the enemy.
thanks :D
Cool idea, great execution. adding defenders could be a little more exciting (maybe some upgrade for the attackers as well)
thanks for the comment! yeah we wanted to add some other stuff but we ran out of time :(
I like it, but there is a moment that the game becomes like a bullet hell
I think the upgrade system could have a little more depth and make effects on both sides, like in "shotgun king"
But for a jam, this is a very good game!
Interesting choice of role reversal. :) But seriously, I think even beyond the base idea, the concept of choosing a new type of enemy for the next level throws another great layer of complexity and decision making into the base game loop.
Neat concept, love the artstyle. Fun game overall.
thanks!
