How does your game fit the theme?
Tired of playing games? Try pausing one! This is a puzzle platformer where glitchy menu buttons are the only method of control, and the player is asked to become a pauser.

This game is awesome. Cant believe it was made in 48 hours. 3 out of 3

Developer(+2)

Thank you for your 3 out of 3 review. If it was 2 out of 3 I would be starving right now

A very creative idea and very well executed.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

And here I thought platformers had run out of ideas! Using the pause button and other menu buttons as the controls was actually a unique mechanic I haven't seen in another platformer, at least in memory, and I've played a lot of them. Also the "Dev Notes" were quite poignant and funny.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!!

Submitted(+2)

this was a very funny game and the levels were soo creative i hope you add more in the future

Developer(+1)

Thanks!! Yeah I hope so too

Submitted(+2)

This is super creative! Role reversal is clearly visible from the moments in main menu. How the mechanics are explained is also well done.

Developer(+2)

Thanks!! Glad you liked it

Submitted(+2)

Great polish and loved the humour! Got stuck on a puzzle sadly so couldn't finish it, but really nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! That's lowk me too

10/10 had a blast!

Thank you!!

This was excellently made! I love the writing and constantly changing puzzle!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!! Appreciate it dawg

Submitted(+2)

A creative platformer. Though I'm a little confused as to how this constitutes a role reversal

Developer(+1)

Instead of controlling the player we're controlling the UI. Hope that helps!

Player -> Pauser

Super funny and creative! The music works really well too!

Very creative and humorous. Would love to see this idea expanded!

Developer(+2)

Thanks!! Radish Boy 3 incoming?? Maybe with microtransactions

This really took me by surprise. Unique gameplay and the challenge scales nicely

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! Really liked Hostiles: Occupied Space, especially the art

This is definitely one of my favorite submissions so far. I'd be surprised if it didn't at least make an appearance in the next video

Developer(+1)

I'd be surprised if Color Frenzy didn't at least make an appearance in the next video

Wow this is fantastic! I'd say this whole vibe with the art-design, concept, and amusing "Dev" note each level has made it possible the best game I've play in the jam so far. Top three for sure. I would not be surprised if this could make it to the top 100 for the whole jam.

I'm not really a huge puzzle game person, but I stuck around longer than I was initially planning to see more of this game (mostly for the Dev notes). What you created is amazing though. Your whole team should be proud!!

Super great work and good luck in the jam!!

Developer

Thanks, that's really nice of you to say :)

Developer

Wow thanks!! Good luck to you too!!

Very tricky on trackpad. Having keyboard controls as well would help a lot with some of the trickier manoeuvres - you could introduce the keyboard controls in a dev log.

I really love this use of the theme, and the humour is great. Could totally see this being turned into a full game.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Keyboard shortcuts were definetly on our todo list. I've honestly found I like playing on my phone more than with a mouse lol.

Developer

Appreciate the feedback and wholeheartedly agree. Clicking everywhere can get a bit tedious. Thanks for the feedback!! Really loved Shotback too

awesome stuff. funny, fun, creative and polished. 5/5

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! :)

The humor was on point and the game mechanics came together in a really unique way. Very fun experience. Plus I'm a big fan of TAoRB1

Developer(+1)

Personally TAoRB1 was better. This just didn't feel the same like the original

Submitted(+3)

Really Unique concept, the dev comments were really funny!

Developer(+2)

Some might say the devs were too busy being funny... and talking to rubber ducks... and arguing about the moon landing

Developer(+2)

except jrschappert

Developer(+2)

Well, I still argue about the moon landing

Submitted(+3)

This was so cool!  Love the dev comments

Developer(+3)

Thank you!!
