I'm pretty bad at it but it's a fun game

Developer

It's okay because we couldn't spent so much time on balancing, which makes you not bad but our balancing bad :) Thanks for playing!

This game looks pretty nice, and overall plays well. It sorely needed a bit more variety in order to not feel stale; and I wish that maybe it was a bit more clear what was going on when first starting; but overall it was a fun gameplay loop.

My biggest complaint would honestly be the invisible barrier that was at least at the bottom, and possibly top(?) of the map. I found myself thinking that I could run away more, only to get trapped, multiple times.

Thanks for playing and your feedback. All of your feedbacks falls down to the situation where we ran out of time and had to do quickly. I noticed the hidden walls and got myself killed 5 minutes prior to the deadline :D I also agree on the variety part, we wanted to implement some interesting power up mechanics where the enemy befriending becomes more versatile, such as pushing/pulling other enemies when an enemy is befriended or converted enemies also convert other enemies etc. Well, for now; looking for the next game jam to be more organized :)

Good game! Makes me think of Vampire Survivors

Fun game! Great idea that matches with the theme of the jam, well done!

Thanks for playing!

Looks good! Could have used 1 or 2 more enemy types add variety but I had 10 levels worth of fun

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah we thought about adding different enemies, locomotive juices like dash, different abilities etc. but well :D

Simple but fun. Made it to level five! The upgrade system was a nice touch (though it referenced a charm ability, not sure what that was).

Developer

Thank you four your feedback :D Charm refers to the  damage you inlict to the enemies when you hit them. When enemies charm bar gets full, they get charmed and fight for you. This is not clearly communicated in-game, but in the short time we  had, we were able to emphasize it only this much.

I really enjoyed playing this, controls were very responsive and game was well balanced. I really really liked the level up system, pausing and letting me choose was very fun. Visually looks great, gameplay was great, one of my favorites. I wish there was a hiscore so I could compete with others

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it! We definitely took some lessons in this jam(this was our first!), will definitely think of adding an actual working global high score screen if we make a game that may contain high score in future jams, thanks!

I reeeeally loved the visuals and the environment (the tiles are my fav lol) and the overall game vibe! I keep dying tho but I guess that's on me :D Very cool and catchy game with a nice idea that you are the death warrior but actually the opposite and you heal!

Developer

Thank you for playing and commenting!

I like the concept of "recruiting" enemies to fight for you it's a solid use of the theme. I think the game would be more enjoyable with more satisfying attacks, adding some screen shake and particles can do wonders for how a game feels. Keep up the good work!

Very nice! It plays and looks very good. The idea of healing instead of hurting is a cool way to swap roles too but it doesn't really change the gameplay much in this case.

Nice game with beautiful artwork! I love this genre and I think you did an impressive job!

Cool game! Very nice visuals, and good use of the theme, good job!

Interesting concept and fun game! Would be interesting to see some more mechanics/variety rather than just upgrades, maybe some abilities? Great visuals and overall a fun game, good job.

Developer(+2)

Thanks a lot! Yeah we also wanted progression to be with variety. Started with fun ideas then had to narrow the scope as usual :D

Amazing graphics and visuals! The gameplay was fun too! I wish instead of the enemies getting stronger over time they would be replaced with stronger enemies over time because trying to catch up with the enemies getting stronger with upgrades doesn't feel that satisfying. I REALLY want to see a full version of this!

Developer

Thank you for your kind response :D We wanted to add more enemy variety but we run out of time to do so.  I aggree, with more interesting upgrades and enemy variety the game would feel more lively.

Top-down Action RPG but you are wololo~ XDD

Developer(+1)

Lol, it never occured to me that our character is actually look like the priest from Age of Empires, and his abilities fits too :D

Submitted(+1)

Nice graphics! The concept would really benefit from more enemy types with different post death effects and synergy.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah it was all planned(we thought of cool things) but there weren't any time left :/. Thanks for playing and commenting!

Wow, i'm very impressed and i love the idea of them fighting with me after their death

Submitted(+1)

The visuals are pretty good! although I wasn't very good at the game...

I really enjoyed the concept, style and gameplay itself. Amazing job for such a short period of time!
