Nice take on the theme, gameplay is fun but challenging! I love the art style, and the vibe of the game! I knew I had to play it, when I saw a dragon/dinosaur and a cute princess on the thumbnail! Well done! :D
Hahha thank you so much!!!
Nice tune.
Alright, the game looks nice with all the Post Processing, everything seems to be the same resolution - well done.
You should have made so when you take damage that the dragon flashes red or white so I know I've been damage, I got confused at the start why I was dying then I noticed my hearts are disappearing after touching the flames - damage should be better communicated.
Gameplay is engaging for a few minutes, enough for a game jam - you should always give everything the game has to offer to the player in first couple of minutes since people won't linger for too long in a game jam game.
Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I forgot to add the damage feedback to the dragon at first :C but Im glad you liked the rest of the game.
The game looks super cute, especially the Dragon and the princess has a funny face. The music is banger, but i'm not sure it fits the "mediaval fantasy" setting. The way the bombs blocked movement was pretty frustrating, especially when there was a lot of them, you get forced into a corner and cannot really anything about it. If you could go through them there would be an element of skill of rushing past it before it explodes.
I know the bombs are a bit frustrating but they have colliders becouse of three main reasons. It makes it so the player cannot stand on a bomb without noticing and take damage when it explodes, it makes some strategy so you need to move to other places and dont get sorrounded. and it blocks you from going to fast and just passing trought eveyr single flame making you die. But its also true that it can be frustrating. And Im glad you liked the faces hahah its my pixel art style I like to make them look silly always.
Idea is simple but very nice. I like how you made movement of dragon very slippery it makes harder to dodge bombs but that's good. There isn't much art but it is all you need for this game, music is also very good. I had lots of fun playing it!
Thank you!! Im very glad you liked it. And yeah I didnt really need much art just the important things too keep the game clear.
I love the art and character design. The bombs were in interesting idea to ramp up the difficulty. Would lover to get access to a fireball. Great job!
Thank you for the feedback! A fireball could be a good idea to kill some knights when you are stuck thats true. Thanks for the idea!
Awesome art, awesome music, game is really nice too. Is the dinosaur being too slippery intended? I had a little bit of a hard time controlling him but it was still a great game and experience nevertheless. congrats on this one my dude
Tysm for the feedback! yeah the movement was intentional since I wanted bombs to be hard to dodge but I maybe did it too much. Glad you liked it :D
The music is just amazing, very nice art style, the controls feel great. Awesome game overall. Only tiny problem is that the text is kinda hard to read but that doesn't really matter.
Great job!
Thank you! I knew the game was hard but maybe thats also the funny thing about it. Im glad you liked it!
I enjoyed this game and the idea of being the kidnapper instead of the hero! I would change the speed of the character as after I let go he just goes flying, but all in all, Good Job!
Thank you for the feedback. Instead of the speed I was thinking on reducing the slide effect a bit that gives the same solution but thank you!
You’re Welcome!
Amazing visuals and having the enemies drop bombs/fire is a smart design decision to prevent just staying right next to the princess. Great job!
Thank you! Not staying right to the princess was mainly the thing bombs were supposed to and you noticed it. Thanks for the feedback.
Very nice concept and great execution, the controls need some getting used to as they're very floaty, but once I got the hang of it I was in the zone, great choice for music and nice SFX. This was my final and best scores after a few tries!
Thank you for playing it! 24 is a nice score to get becouse of the games difficulty so great job. Im glad you liked it that much to replay it several times. Thanks!
Anytime! Thanks I tried my best to get a good score haha
We got to 3 pages of comments thank you so much to everyone for the feedback Im really happy!
Nice game with cool mechanics and a good amount of polish for 48 hours. Unlike some of the other folks I actually found the slipperiness of the dragon to be dialed in pretty nicely to give the player a feeling of not having complete control but enough to make it a fair challenge.
Thank you for the feedback! I like too see all those different opinions about the player control. Im glad you liked it!
I like how everything is bouncing around and have a very cute vibe around everything. The dino that is supposed to be hard to control somehow feels very acceptable because of the cuteness of it XDD
hahah thank you!!
Enjoyed the balance of having the dragon hard to control and the knights spawning bombs when they died.
Thanks! I found the idea of the knights dropping bombs really fun too when making it :D
This was quite fun, l made a number of runs until I reached a high score of 39. The dragon is a bit hard to control but I guess that is part of the challenge, also it would have maybe been nice to have a short invincibility after taking damage so you are not knocked out entirely if you run into multiple fires at once. Otherwise I had a great time, well done!
Wow that is really a good score. The highest I got was 60 and Im the one who made the game. Another comment talked about the incencibility time which is a good idea too. Thank you!
The style is very cute. Looks like a try hard game with the dragon movement and the music
yeah It does hahah thanks!
Game was super fun and looked pretty great too!the concept itself was nice and the execution was almost perfect! i loved the ice physics but there were times where i literally had no input in the dragons movements. reworking the movement a bit and perhaps shortening the flame time would greatly improve the game. overall, really fun and polished game.
Thank you! Its true that when you get a lot of velocity and you start bouncing you literrally cant move. But thanks for the feedback. The flames last 3 seconds I thought it was a fair amount of time to make the game difficult but perhaps I could make an easy mode next time.
Really nice game! The slippery controls make it quite a challenge. The dragon is so cute! Great work overall!
Thank you!
A small, tough but charming little game. The animations are really cute and the audio is perfect, I like how the dragon's controller is not exactly tight but slippery but it gives the game a different feel and develops a character for the dragon. I would recommend making the knight stronger each spawn and the in the end, the dragon won't be able to 1 shot him. And if possible, post jam you should try and make a nicer main menu. Other than those minor points, I have absolutely no complaints and the game is really fun!
Thank you for the feedback! I made the menu really fast and its true that I could have made it better but the important thing is that you liked the gameplay. About the knights I could make another time that has more life but as you know the jam was short and I didnt had any time to make it. And you know, time is money hahah.
I see what you did thee. Nice one
CUTE DINO! 🦖 The art with the lighting, music and the hit feel is really good. This idea was pretty clever. The game can definitely be expanded into something even bigger. Maybe the Dino could shoot out fireballs as a power up you could collet just like coins and hearts. Or different sized room and a dash ability.
Thank you! I wish I could expand the game but when trying to change the unity version to export it to a webGL it died... If I could I would expand it as you said and add powerapps and more things. Thanks for the help.
