This takes the classic game "Snake", but played from the perspective of the apple. You must avoid being eat by the snakes with the added bonus of music!

I think Track 2 really shows what this game is capable of, I really liked the use of the smaller area to make you have to time your movements to avoid the combo attacks.
I agree, it's my personal favorite. I wish I took inspiration from it to create all the other levels.
Great visuals and music, was instinctive to play and I enjoyed the levels
Thank you! Much appreciated!
I instinctively moved to the rhythm of the music when avoiding the snakes. Maybe because the game reminded me of Crypt of the NecroDancer.
If only I could make a game as good as that. But, I hope you still enjoyed this little game!
I was doing the same thing, almost to my detriment when I couldn't move out of the way of a snake until the next beat.
Neat!Very enjoyable and very well polished. Improving the targeting and adding more variation to attacks would go a long way to making it even better
Thanks, and I agree. I would've loved too add more attacks, and time them better to the beat
Cute and simple. The snakes should occasionally target the player to prevent them from staying idle.
That's a really good idea! I wish I thought of that! I'll see about updating the game after the jam ends
The artstyle is fantastic! However, the gameplay isn't great. Despite the game being described as rhythm-based, nothing whatsoever is synced to the music. There's only two attack patterns throughout all three stages, and most of the time you won't even have to move out of the way. On the occasion something does hit you, it'll tear through all three of your lives almost immediately. And I don't want to be a downer but the music is just terrible. Being a skilled musician isn't necessary to make a rhythm game, but I'd suggest using pre-existing songs if you struggle with making your own.
I appreciate the criticism. I wish I could have put more time into make the gameplay more interesting, the music synced better, more attacks and some actual proper music. Unfortunately, time held me back quite a bit. I hope the game brought even a sliver of fun, despite it's flaws!
I hope I didn't come across as too harsh lol. The art was great, I'm sure if you can work on the other aspects of your skillset you'll make some great stuff!
Thanks, and you didn't at all! I actually really enjoy getting feedback explaining flaws rather than a thumbs up.
