I love your idea! Especially for a game jam, it isn't easy to find an idea that is interesting and yet finishable in this short amount of time. And in my opinion you found a great idea for that!
I managed to make the player happy for a little while which made me want to continue - so if the game was balanced, I think I would enjoy it for a bit. (Just need to turn down the sound a bit ;))
