very fun entry! there's a lot happening at once, especially in later levels, but the core gameplay itself is very creative and the game looks amazing!
Excited to see another reverse inventory idea!
Amazing execution, really good presentation, and super fun gameplay loop
This was really fun, I liked how frantic it can feel when there's a lot of items around.
This game looks incredible, I have no idea how you pulled this off in 48 hours. Although I think pacing is a bit mismatched, either the combat should be a bit slower, or the inventory mechanics should be changed slightly so the player can work a bit faster.
Its kind of hard to tell which items the hero has already, maybe colour code them when they are highlighted? I also found it hard to put items on the hero as they kept moving. I felt like its a cool concept, but as a player, you really don't have time to manage the inventory due to items constantly despawning and enemy keeps attacking you.
Loved the music and visuals. At first I was instantly throwing everything on to the hero, but I quickly learned that saving stuff for harder monsters was a must. The wacky arm on the inventory was a nice addition as well. Great work!
Very fun and unique game. Was a bit buggy and hard to manage tho.
I've never seen a game like this, very creative, the gameplay and the art are great. Nice Job!!
Excellent game! God I wish there were some kind of crafting mechanic.
Great concept!! Get addicted so fast.
The only thing I could complain is about the camera perspective and the backpack's hand which makes the game unintentionally harder.
Imagine in real life you want something from your backpack and there's a giant arm giving you what you want '-'
Incredibly original idea, gameplay's easy to understand and feels like it has a high skill ceiling too, allowing for a ton of replayability. Awesome! :)
Pretty top notch as far as 48h games go. It looks good, it plays pretty well and its just fun! It fits the theme quite well too and overall I can't complain too much. 4/5 very good!
Really interesting game, I actually quite love the concept and I can see the potential in this. However I felt the execution could use a little polishing.
Firstly, the inventory seems a little clunky for a fast pace game like this. I actually like the tetris system, it adds more complexity to the game. However the problem comes from visual clarity, when you hover an item over the inventory, both it and your hand completely blocks everything behind it. I suggest adding some transparency for the item you're holding and your hand when you're about to drop it in.
However, I would say the most frustrating issue is when some items get launch behind the characters/mosnters, behind/below the inventory or even off screen. You could have them pickable even if it's behind something and have an outline or a silhouette of the item behind. Furthermore, give a little more warning time for when the item is about to despawn.
Finally, I have to talk about equipping an item, I'm not sure is this your intension but there it's quite easy to miss equipping an item when the character move and attack. Perhaps having a stagnant slot system to drop the item in might be better?
In anyways, I still enjoy the game and wish you all the best if you're planning to take it further. Thanks.
Very cool concept and also loved the inventory monster
good game!
Presentation is awesome, congrats!
Very cool rendition of the theme and this concept.
Interesting game. Graphics are very nice, but the camera angle can lead to some issues during gameplay where items are blocked by other characters or objects. Good job
Nice idea but playing Tetris with the inventory didn't seem to be all that necessary. I would like to see a polished version of this game :)
Awesome idea, lacklustre execution. Quite pretty art style. The controls were a bit janky and hard to use. I didn't need the inventory much as there wasn't enough loot dropping to have to use it. This is definitely worth spending more time on post-jam to improve and flesh out the gameplay.
