Took a playthrough to get the hang of it but didn't manage to beat it, I only got to 170 coins. It's really cool how you have to trade off doing things to improve the farm that hold back the king and do things that expand the kingdom while not helping the farmer (if that makes sense).

That is exactly the feeling I was hoping to capture! It ended up far more subtle than I was hoping but it makes me really happy that someone was able to see it! Thanks for playing and replying :D

Switching between roles was a bit jarring first time. I'm well acquainted with worker placement/engine building/..., so I could infer what to do (do x, to get to y, so you can...), but I can see it being a source of confusion. Anyways, it was fun.

I agree with the other comment. Very cool idea, but a tutorial would make the playthrough much more fun.

i would say you guys have a very interesting idea with this game but the execution is frankly subpar and unfortunately it ruins this game for me, if you guys rebuilt the game with better execution i think this could be a very enjoyable game.

Thanks mate! Was just Lil old me solo developing though  :P I would love some more specific feedback on which  parts threw the game off for you though <3.

Ah yea fair, I got to the start of my  second day and made it playable and had to make a lot of changes to  make  it even remotely fun. in  the end I had to compromise a lot. I put in the tooltips and feedback messages and just ended up hoping it would be enough for people to figure it out.  Thanks for tanking the  time to play and reply :D.
