Interesting idea, would've loved to start out slow and slowly build up in difficulty since I felt thrown into the deep end and I felt like I could've had a lot more fun than initially started.
You're absolutely right, that was the plan but it was taking longer than I could afford to build a longer level that could have built the difficulty gradually. Thanks for the feedback!

Even though it's only a prototype, I think the concept itself is one of the cleverer ones I've seen in the jam! I love the idea of "outsourcing" a seemingly automated task like scorekeeping to some poor person who has to frantically try to keep up with what's happening. Would love to see the idea refined a bit further.
