Good idea but not so creative for jam. I really like this art and atmospher. Gameplay can be improved. Quest Giver games so boring for me. This game is different from other same type games with its Cyberpunk atmosphere. Good Job!
Definitely liked the jokes. Three Bothans died trying to open a bank account for me.
I love the art and the music. Very atmospheric
The art style is very appealing, I like it :)
The music is great, got some nice jokes in there too, overall really great. Good job!
Very good, gives a nice feeling, great art and compelling gameplay.
Edit: i cannot stress how good it looks.
certified banger. good choice of music and AMAZING art. all the character designs are sick, the one background has enough detail and subtle movement to not get boring after a while. very funny writing and a pretty fleshed out core mechanic. a bunch of similar games i've played here do not really have an end goal, but you made four distinct things you have to achieve, which makes this feel like more than a prototype. takes some guesswork and persistence to get there, but that's by design, i think? and the consistently funny writing makes sure you keep playing either way :) i loved it, thank you for the experience
The art is spectacular I love it! and the loop is really good too!
Good work! The art was fantastic, and the gameplay was interesting. However, it was a bit confusing at first as I didn't read the itch.io page. Outside of that small mishap, I had fun!
Pretty cool, great job ! The ambiance was pretty unique :)
Fantastic art and a very good vibe
Gorgeous art and music. Overall fantastic vibe. I think the gameplay was really interesting! It was a little hard do figure out who to give which quests - working with clearer info on each hero, like maybe stats or a personality blurb or something would help make informed choices. I mostly felt like I was choosing things at random. I think theres some really cool ideas here, and a bit more refining could make this a really interesting game. The aesthetic really is a hook unto itself!
Thank you and thanks for playing! I agree, right now there is little to go off in terms of strategy since we had to cut corners but this is one of the first things we'll be definitely improving next.
Echoing what everyone else is saying, but the art style is awesome and I love the color palette! I think the gameplay is a bit hard to understand and becomes tedious after a few minutes, and it's demotivating when I lose a high level character because I gave them the wrong quest. If there was some kind of "happiness" meter for each person that could be used to determine the best quest to give, I think it would make the game more straightforward to play. Great work overall, enjoyed!
Thank you for playing and glad you enjoyed! And actually there is a trust metric - but connection with the quests is slightly less clear. I'll be definitely taking into the account the feedback, thank you.
I really loved the art! I would love to see some kind of personality system, to have different dialogue. It takes me out of the game a little when every time they say "Robo... rats?".
Thanks! And don't you love how confused they are each time? XD
On a serious note we actually do support more than one response to these quests but in the lack of time unfortunately I had to stick with only one for each which I wasn't happy with. I'll be adding more!
Hi y'all! This is good stuff - funny seeing how different people approached the Quest Giver games and they all play differently. Art was great too - and it was an enjoyable experience.
Thanks for the kind words man!
Aren't goals supposed to has 10 steps ? I think only one had in my game.
Despite that it was a really good experience. Shootout to the art especialy. Nothing really complicated but every thing is done well. Nice result, you deserve my points !
Thank you for playing - I agree, our artist is SUPER. And the goals are supposed to be slightly ambiguous with 0/1 metric - certain quests would partially fulfill certain goals (invisible to the player). However it's not an excuse for lack of clarity - this would be the first thing to improve on later in the timeline.
Nice game! Really good presentation.
The art style is so cute!
Pretty solid game !
Fun concept, I enjoyed giving quests - definitely feels like there's a lot of aspects you could elaborate on. I'll be interested if you make a post-jam version! :)
Thank you - we had TONs of ideas but had to cut most of them due to time constraints. I'd be more than happy to improve on this :)
Really fun! Art is so good
