This is why I make games that only save between levels.

Challenging, original, good use of the theme.

When I first started the game, I thought, "There's no music?  But then why is the 'audio playing' icon appearing on the tab?"  But apparently there is music, and it's just so quiet that I can't hear it at all without turning my computer's volume up to near the maximum.

Is limited time to memorize stuff supposed to be part of the challenge?  The fact that you wait a certain amount of time after the text disappears suggests maybe it is, except you can see everything while the text is still there.

I kind of like it, a good memory game if you like any sort of RPG in my opinion :)

Simple but enjoyable!

Interesting concept. Reminds me of brain training on my DS.

P.S. What's the deal with the enemy character names?

Developer

The main character Ralph is a Buddhist Monk and the enemy names are supposed to be representative of the Five hindrances.

it's a simple game but a good proposal for the theme.

Really liked the concept. I could see this one with some kind of memory cartridge management ;)

Nice concept, great twist for a RPG :D

Hello fellow Godot user 🙂

Nice take on the theme, really creative. Actually reminds me of my entry, where you play as the battle system in the RPG hahaha

Anyway, the autosave button is really nice feature. I'm not good at the game (my memory isn't good anymore 😅), but I still had fun. Well done!

Clever concept with a fun logical driving force.

It was interesting how much more attention I was paying to these stats i would normally not think about to hard. It would be fun to see how such an approach to a standard RPG could be use to tell a story and engage the player in different ways.

Good job!

fun memory game! i'm usually not too great at them, so i really enjoyed the RPG statistical twist, and getting to see the party + members develop as the game went on!

Really, really enjoyable game! The difficulty curve is steep but a lot of fun, and I think the length is just right. It would be cool if there was a system to "hard save" certain variables to autofill, but of course would require difficulty rebalancing. We had a tough time with difficulty in our game, so overall great work!

Thank you for the feedback!  There was originally another mechanic involving loading and save slots, but I just didn't end up having the time to implement it properly.  The plan was to flip back and forth between the saving and loading mechanics.  Without those in-between levels the difficulty curve ended up steeper than planned..

Nice game! Good concept, I played with my cousin, which made it considerably easier, but it was very fun. I liked the level of visual polish, very impressive given the time limitations of this jam. This is not a criticism, but I found it funny that I recognized the default Godot UI styling :). Nice job!

This game is really different, is good. I like a lot the memory games, this could be better in graphics or music, but the idea saving RPG data is very interesting. Good job!

Really creative! I do not make for a very good save system though haha

Such a fun concept. This is allowing me to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming an RPG save system.
