The concept was a bit confusing, but I liked the art and the side-scrolling gameplay parts! I think it would be good to have less introduction since it was longer than the actual gameplay parts, but your animations and art were super cute! I also had an issue with the game not displaying correctly unless I full-screened the game in my browser, but other than that I didn't have any technical issues. Keep up the good work!

How does your game fit the theme?
when you start in a regular game you start weak but level up. But when you start in The Stone Age you are very strong but if you fight a boss you level down

The gameplay definitely needs improvements, but everybody else has already point them out.
The story is quite good and has a lot of potential. I'm looking foward to the next story, if you decide to finish it.
That was a really neat story. There were some misspelled words but it's fine. I loved the sprite when you get damaged. It was kind of annoying that when you walked you were hugging the right edge of the screen so you couldn't see enemies coming. I also think that the mechanic of leveling down when you fight enemies would be really interesting if you could fight the security guards but doing so would make you weaker, and you also make it more difficult to just jump over them so you have to decide whether to fight or to avoid them. Overall though, Good Job!
That was... something :D
I think the web version has some camera problems, with and without fullscreen.
The game is ok, one of the biggest problems is the size of the camera and the tracking. I couln't see the enemies when chasing the old man. Also the colliders could be slightly smaller, i got hit when i wasn't touching the enemies. Make sure when making a game that the player can see his sorroundings and that they don't hit enemies when not touching them, it's a good practise to make the enemies colliders slightly smaller than the enemy to prevent that.
Also, the progressive text effect is really good, but i would add some sound to it. I usually use structs with a string and an AudioClip variable to design the dialoges so that i can change the sound depending on the person talking.
I think you should keep learning and making games, with time you'll become much better and after a few years you'll realise how much progress you've made.
Game dev is an art that requires some talet. But talent is not innate, it is created with work and dedication, and anyone can have it if they are patient.
I wish you the best luck and i hope you enjoyed making the game and that you are proud of it, i'm sure the next one will be much better.
oh wait, that's what the other guy said... Well then it'll be WAY much better! ;)
OMG THATS A LONG REVIEW. Thank you so much for the review and I should work on the collision and camera after the jam. This is one of my biggest games besides the other ones I made and I really appreciate the review you gave out. Once again thank you so much for the review, your a very holesome person. And lastly I do plan to make The Stone Age a full game as well after the Jam hoppfully
thank you so much for your rating. i will Immediately change the background of the page. and i had noticed the grammar mistakes last minute so i could not change that. and i will try adding more levels to the stone age. But thank you for your rating. it helps me find mistake and make gameplay better.
