A cool take on a puzzle platformer, the presentation was also nice, cool pixel art animations

Thank you!

The music is bumpin. I also liked the concept!! I had a few issues with the physics, like falling a little bit into the floor from a big drop, and the bubble machine in the last level feeling a bit unfair, but overall I like it!

Thanks! The physics and collisions are going to get updated in a bit, I tried to fix it during the jam but that ended up catastrophic. The bubble dispenser works much better if you hold the up arrow or space by the way ;)

Whoa! Seems like a huge amount of effort went in to creating all the levels - Great job creating so much content in such a short space of time!

Developer

Thanks! I did my best!

I really like this concept and the idea of "resetting puzzles back to their original state" is a very untapped style of designing a puzzle. I felt that some of the levels did feel like they were "just" puzzles and I just had to think about them in a traditional way, whereas it would have been so interesting to think outside the box and deconstruct what a puzzle actually is, and how you would unsolve it.

I liked the levels that more leaned into this, ones where the solutions were neatly lined up at the end and you had to unwind it into a more complicated solution. Instead of going to a portal, it would have made more sense to me if you had to go back to the intended player starting point (if it was a real puzzle).

This has created a really interesting discussion for me and the idea of it has some really cool potential. It would be worth looking at the approaches other games in this jam take to making puzzles, as it could help you gain a better perspective on how to "deconstruct them"!

Thanks! I know about the fact that the puzzles aren’t really being deconstructed, but this was my first game jam so I just had to come out with some fast level ideas. How I intended the portal was that the portal is the starting point for the player that is actually supposed to play the game, and the portals are made to make you, the one playing, finish their quest.

Thanks for the feedback!

Great showing especially as your first game jam! Congrats on getting so much done in a short time frame, hope you've learnt a lot from the process!

Developer

Thanks!

Great concept! However, the collisions are a little bugged, in one level I fell into a block and was unable to escape.

Thanks! This is my first platformer game so the collisions are bad, I tried to make a script that fixed this but then the player would just bounce and the green blocks would not work.

I like the concept! I think there was a part in one level where you can jump over a block which doesn't seem to be intended but apart from that I liked it... I enjoyed the music of the game and it would be great if it had some 8bit sounds effects as  well! Good job!

Developer

Thanks mate!
