How does your game fit the theme?
The Game is a play on the arcade game Snake. Instead of controlling the snake you'll lay down the bait to grow the snake and try to make it bite it's own tail.

So much fun to play this little armadillo. The level design is quite versatile too and it's so cool to twist a classic game like snake into something very different. With multiple twists. Super impressive game to make in 48 hours. Great job!
Pretty cool visuals! I liked the aesthetic of this game! I had a little problem with the controls and always got stuck in the walls :D
This game is reall hard!
The graphics are amazing, probalby the best ivee seen the whole jam.
The gameplay is really difficult as said above but the idea is good and a great take on the "snake" game which was common in this game jam, good job!
I would be happy if you checked out my game.
Cheers!
Really neat idea! Took me way to long to beat a level I'll admit, but still pretty cool concept and I had fun. I wish WASD worked though, arrow keys are a little awkward for me. But for some reason WASD would just send me in completely random directions. Love the look you went with though, really cute voxel creatures is never a bad thing.
oh! That's kinda surprising, wasd shouldn't work different than arrow keys at all, can I ask you which browser/os you are on?
Thanks for the comment though :)
Alright, my computer must have been suffering yesterday or something. I just tried it again and now it works fine, that's with both the minimized window and with it fullscreen. Must have been some weird lag on my end then. I'm on Mozilla Firefox so could be a factor too but I tried it on the same browser. Whoops xD
Alright, thanks for checking again. :)
Was really curious about the issue.
Great game, the mechanics are very clever!
Very cool game! I sometimes got stuck in the borders of the map and the snake killed itself but overall the game is very fun to play! Congrats!
Wow is a very interesting game!! Even though it's a reverse snake game it managed to be the most different of its kind and the armadillo gameplay of trying to make the snake grow is quite challenging! Great job! 5/5!
As always great art and presentation! :)
oh wow! Thank you! That means quite a bit coming from you. <3
That was amazing.
The lo-fi style is so pleasing to play around with, and the restricted camera keeps things interesting! I was spending a good amount of time trying to figure out how the mind of the snake works 🧠
Only point of frustration was movement stopping as soon as I collided with an edge. I lost a few times due to getting stuck on an edge, my first thought was that I would have like to slide along the edge instead
If your curious how the snake brain works. It will always seek out the food in the order it was spawned BUT if it has direct line of sight of any food, including the player it will rush towards it.
So the intended gameplay was to grow the snake and make it bite it's tail by flaunting yourself behind one of it's segments.
Originally I wanted this to be in the Tutorial, but I forgot to put it in. :(
Agreed with the movement - it's my biggest gripe with the game. :/
This game looks incredible and is a really unique twist on the theme! the controls (at least on m&k) are a little difficult to handle but the core mechanic saves it :)
I love the visual direction of your game. The graphics are displayed beautifully, even the level select is extremely visually pleasing. The game is a good take on reverse snake, I really enjoyed the integration of food on the map to give you something to seek out while avoiding the snake.
The movement was a bit clunky, and I actually got stuck on top of a rock in one of my playthroughs, luckily the snake killed itself :).
Great job all around regardless. Strong entry.
Good Submission!
the graphic and audio design are implemented nice, the 3d is a nice idea for this type of game,
but its a little frustating that you get stuck on collisions. Also, the snakes died sometimes even when I didn't do anything.
Another great reverse snake game! I like the strategic potential of the bait mechanic as it can both lure the snake to where you want it to go (i think?) and also grow it so it dies more easily. The art and music are quite nice. The only little thing I don't quite like is the way touching the edges awkwardly disrupts your movement. Still a great game! :D
It's fun to see how other people designed the snake game in reverse. Every one of them I've seen so far has had their own unique vibe and special twist. (check out mine as well!)
First, the presentation is insane. The music is good and fitting, and I'm astonished that you guys managed to make this in the time limit.
The game is really fun, I really enjoyed trying to trick the snakes into killing themselves, but I wish the AI were a little bit more intelligent. The snake often kills itself by running into the invisible wall which never feels good, and the AI regularly voluntarily traps itself. That's more or less the only issue though, and it's not too bad since you can just replay the level and it isn't too likely to happen the next time. The idea is pretty clever, it is a role reversal from typical Snake, and and the gameplay is very well realized. All in all, very good entry!
i rally liked this game! the artstyle is amazing, the music is INSANE!!
The game Ui is also very smooth and clean, i love it.
Controls are easy to use and immediate, the only issue is that i kept get stuck in the walls! If you just can manage to slide when you face walls it would be a perfect game! (i love it anyway and i love that strange bug worm creature(
The idea is awesome, the artstyle is fantastic and cute, one thing is that the snake just killed itself on level 2, other than that one of the best games ive seen in the jam yet!
I would recommend Super Oro Boro land to fans of Super Oro Boro land all over the world.
