Interesting concept with a pretty addictive gameplay. Picking your poison with the upgrades definitely forces you to adapt quickly and plan ahead.

Really liked the concept of instead of you being upgraded but the enemy was. Very nicely executed. Smooth movement and an interesting art direction.

Having smooth movement as we feel is very important in these type of games, so we really prioritized on it.
This artstyle is called "vaporwave" which is relatively unseen in games, but it's quite popular online. We were determined to make this style work and this is the result!
Very interesting take, as also a pretty unique art style and aesthetic. Loved the idea, its a design that basically automatically balances power-ups and difficulty to the player, which is amazing. Good job, really enjoyed this game!

Love the 80's vibe, the graphics are rad! Great game! The glitchy graphics and the thumbnail are cool! Though my browser freezes up (MS Edge on a RTX 3060 laptop) when starting the game but afterwards runs smoothly.

Really fun gameplay, a couple of extra power-ups would really help the replay ability, nice music, strange but not bad art, interesting idea but overall it's fun and that's almost all that matters haha, great job! :D

Crazy idea, great game. What's really interesting is that you don't want the bullets to be dangerous for you so you pick least effective upgrades but then more enemies comes up and you regret that idea. The online scoreboard is insanely cool, absolute quality
Glad you love the crazy idea we came up with and enjoyed our game! It is up to the player how they wish to pursue and play the game, picking weak upgrades means player will most likely die to a massive swarm of enemies, on the other hand, player may have a difficult time dodging bullets from the turret due to the turret being stronger. Definitely thinking of ways to improve so that players can play the game for just a tat bit longer bit of time. Our leaderboard also took a while but glad we got it implemented! My lord the aesthetic is perfect! The music feels so on point with the vaporwave vibe, and the win98 menus are great! The game is great, maybe it would help if it would ramp up a bit faster!

Love it! The game is really good an interesting as your upgrades can affect my survivability in both positive and negative ways! I liked that there's a leaderboard too!

Very fun and love the vaporwave theme. My only complaint is that there should be a way to select upgrades with the keyboard rather than the mouse. I don't like having to quickly switch between them every time they appear.
There was a bug with the keyboard controls for the upgrade and we didn't have time to debug it so we just removed it. We'd love to add it back later too. Thanks for playing!
